Impact QuikBalance Overview

The QuikBalance Collapsible 12" Gray Panel from Impact is a convenient tool to ensure that your photos and videos are accurately exposed and color balanced. One side of the panel is 18% gray, while the other side is neutral white. By taking a photo or video of either the white or gray side of the panel in the same lighting conditions as your final image, you can accurately adjust exposure and color balance in camera, or in your post-production software.

The gray side of the panel has a target in the center so that your lens can find a focus point.
The panel collapses to just 1/3 of its full size, allowing it to fit in most camera bags.
A zippered storage sleeve is included to keep the panel collapsed during transport.
The panel has a convenient loop on one side, allowing you to attach it to a support stand.

Surprisingly close for while balancing in the field. These seem to work better than small pocket cards in places with weird lighting like restaurants and places with mood lighting. Pocket cards are more handy so is a trad-off. No idea how long the gray color with hold up.

I regularly shoot basketball in poorly-lit high school gymnasiums. The WB runs from orange to blue, and post was a nightmare. This was on sale, and I've been using it since it arrived with great results. Incredibly easy to use, great results. It's very simple to fold back up- just twist your hands in different directions- if you have a reflector, you can do this. Done. Completely worth it.

The large 30 size was excellent setting WB for the longer distances that I video at. Super portable! The price seemed high, but the features are really paying off... Also had a unique smell to it when first opened, but that went away with a little air drying. :)

The white and grey panels are large enough to be easily used for custom in-camera WB and stow easily and compactly in the provided cover. Easy to carry or throw in your camera bag.

No. The carrying case fits the QuikBalance when folded/collapsed into its smallest size (roughly 1/3 in diameter).

From researching, the grey is 50 IRE and white is 100 IRE.

I washed it a few times to keep the white as clean as possible and it didn't harm sofar. I used a very tiny amount of very soft soap. Didn't try to keep it under water though.
