This Impact 1250W Three Light Mini Boom Kit was put together by B&H to offer a universal lighting solution for anything from portraiture to product photography. Three lights are included in the kit; each built around a high heat-resistant porcelain socket with a stay-cool wooden handle capable of using up to 500W.
Two 12" reflectors mount to 2 of the sockets and include 500W lamps. The third socket is matched with a narrow beam 5" reflector and supplied with a 250W flood lamp. Although the socket can handle 500W the size of the reflector limits it to 250W. All three lights have a 10' cable with an inline switch and U.S. plug.
The lights are supported by 3 Impact 8' light stands with air cushioning that gently lowers the lights when making height adjustments to prevent damage from sudden drops. The included Mini Boom comes with a 1.0 lb counterweight and can support any of the lights. One scenario among many for this versatile kit combines the 500W lights with the kit's 43" white umbrellas and the 5" 250W light on the boom for use as a hair light or rim light. The entire kit fits in the provided padded, water-resistant carry bag that features inner partitions, zippered closure and hand straps that convert to a shoulder strap.
This 43" White Translucent Umbrella from Impact is a versatile all-around light modifier that will create a pleasing light that's far less harsh than a bare light source. It can be used with flash, LED, or fluorescent light sources. As a shoot-through umbrella, it broadens and softens the light source output and minimizes shadows, making it ideal for portrait photography. The translucent fabric's diffusing properties allow light source to be placed close to a subject for a softer light that's also great for weddings and fashion. It has a standard size 8mm umbrella shaft that is compatible with most umbrella mounts.
This 43" diameter umbrella is useful for lighting one or two people for mid- and full-length portraits. It can also be reversed to use as a bounce-style umbrella to cover a larger image area.

This aluminum Impact Air-Cushioned Light Stand rises to a height of 8' and folds down to 29.6". The stand has sure-twist section locks and 4 sections and will support up to 8 lb.

The Impact Porcelain Socket with Umbrella Mount (500W) is a cost-effective way to utilize a wide variety of E26 (Edison) based lamps for photo or video work. Options include simple household lamps as well as photoflood, quartz halogen bulbs, and LED bulbs. This highly versatile product has an adjustable metal mount with a 5/8" receiver for light stands and an 8mm umbrella receptacle. The Floodlight Socket tilts and locks in place at the desired angle by grasping the stay-cool wooden handle and releasing the locking knob. Lamps up to 500W won't melt the ceramic base which is impervious to heat. The socket also accepts screw-on reflectors of various sizes.
This Impact Mini Boom Arm is an aluminum lightweight boom arm with a 1 lb counterweight and swivel handle light stand mount. It can hold a small light fixture.
The black Light Kit Bag #2 (34 x 13.5 x 12") from Impact makes transporting your lighting kit easy and secure. The bag is designed to hold three monolights along with their reflectors (such as Impact VC500LR), four stands, boom, umbrellas, cables and other support gear but can also be used to hold other lighting equipment instead. You'll have plenty of room to take along enough lighting gear for a portrait session - all packed in an organized and accessible way. A touch fastened divider tray separates the stands, boom and umbrellas from the lights preventing them from bumping together and causing scratches or damage. For additional smaller equipment such as cables and small accessories, there are three interior 10.5 x 8.0" zippered mesh pockets.
The bag is made from soft, padded water-resistant nylon and contains six movable touch fastened interior dividers (6 large, 2 small) that will permit you to configure the bag to accommodate the gear you need that day. The Light Kit Bag is carried by its two 2" wide overlapping top carry handles that can easily be extended into dual shoulder straps. The contents are accessed via dual zippers that when placed together will accept a user-supplied lock. For even more protection, the bottom of the bag contains three rubber feet for when the bag is placed on the ground.
