The matte black Mag-Tac LED Flashlight from Maglite is a handheld illumination tool designed for civilians yet reliable enough for tactical professionals. Its 310-lumen LED light source is capable of producing a beam visible at a range of 200 yards. Like other Maglites, the Mag-Tac is machined from a lightweight aluminum alloy, anodized inside-and-out for enhanced corrosion-resistance, and manufactured in the United States.
Maglite's proprietary Quick-Click mode selector tailcap enables the operator to set the Mag-Tac output mode without cycling through the other modes each time the light is activated. When the tailcap is in the Momentary position, the flashlight will only illuminate while the switch is pressed. In addition to momentary activation, the Mag-Tac also has full-power and power-saving modes for constant illumination. A weather-resistant housing, deeply knurled grip, and included pocket clip help make the Mag-Tac a full-featured illumination tool.

question
I would like to attach this to a tripod leg to help with focus in the dark. Can anyone recommend a suitable way of attaching it? Perhaps a flexible piece of tubing with clamps/grips? Thanks.
The Delta 1 Grip-It Single Arm with Dual 1 Clamps B&H # DESADC can be of use to you.

question
will this flashlight work well with a 18650 battery?
No - the 18650 battery is too large and the voltage is too low (example: even though a 16650 will fit, it will not work).

question
Why does the Maglite website offer different information, in terms of specifications, for both the bezel and non- bezel rechargeable flashlights?
The site is in error but it is not either number. Maglite retested many of their flash lights and that one at the maximum is 533 lumens on the standard Bezel and 543 on the Crowned Bezel.

question
What kind of replacement batterys does it need?
Be carefully of what you replace them with, as due to the re-chargeable connections, you need genuine only, the C123 will not work correctly due to the end cap control switch that screw to secure the batteries are different, to the none chargable,
I have 3 of these torches that all batteries are open circuit, must be a defect... :-(
