Have 3 of these. Use with various umbrellas and Cree 23W/1750 Lumen 5000K 90+CRI BR20 LED bulb. Also used it with the Impact 4 Socket Fluorescent Adapter and 16W/1400 Lumen LEDs for good results with the Westcott Mega JS Apollo.

These fixtures are well worth the extra price you will pay compared to the less expensive brand. I have purchased both. The Impacts are stronger material, better designed and built to last. The electrical cord on the Impacts is a higher quality and approximately two feet longer, than the competition, which makes a big difference.

I have already purchased more of these.

This fixture is very simple, but it's an awesome continuous head. In a controlled studio setting, it will serve you very well. I don't expect it to hold up like a metal fixture, so it's being treated accordingly.

perfect for adding to my light kit

such a nice thing to be able to use low-cost, low-energy bulbs, both florescent and led, to light my wide shoots... no more blown circuits, or hot sets... these are sturdy and seem to be well-designed....

Good for the price

Pros:  - price; - allows to mount softbox or umbrella; - has long power cord. Cons:  - bigger than expected; - made from plastic (including tilt and knob, and mounting socket and knob), i.e. durability is questionable; - does not include 5/8 stud/spigot. I had to use my own 5/8 female spigot to mount it on light stand.

Fixture for LED lights

I got this so I could put an LED flood light bulb into my Impact soft box (different from the kit that this comes with) with a speed ring. Works great! Pros: cost on a budget and you get your money’s worth. Cons: Plastic! The body and holder is made plastic. It could hold the kit soft box but nothing else. I was able to take off the adjustment base and mount it into a speed ring with a soft box. For the price I bought 3 more. Not bad for a budget light.

Asked by: Jay
Yes, the Impact Single Socket Fluorescent Fixture is good up to 105 watt fluorescent lamp. So, it should be fine with a GTX STUDIO GS-LED105 LED Bulb with Diffusion & Standard AC Base (105W).

question

Will it work with 220V electric circuit and 220V lamp?
Asked by: Roman D.
It's a good product and easy to use and inexpensive to replace the bulb itself. . I recommend buying the fixture. I would advise you to make sure you either wrap the attached bulb in something when transporting or transport the bulb separately wrapped in something soft and durable. I've made the mistake of breaking a couple bulbs when transporting. On your question directly, I don't think it will work with that wattage. It's an absolute basic photography fixture set for smaller projects.
