It works just like they said it would.

Reliable

I got into mechanical keyboards for a bit, and while I would still like to get a good one, I quickly discovered that, despite what many will tell you, the worst mechanical keyboard is not better than the best membrane keyboard, nor indeed this basic $15 one. I've been using this for years and years, not treating it especially well, even, and it still feels fine and only a couple key labels are starting to wear off. The worst thing I can say about it is that moving one's fingers around on the keys without pressing them makes a scrunchy, rubbery sound. It's comfortable to type on, though, and costs less than a set of keycaps for a mech.

I was looking for an inexpensive keyboard, to hold me over until I can get my belongings to my new home. Who would have known this would be so nice? It really does have comfortable, nice keys. I recommend.

For the price it has solid build quality and everything you could need from a keyboard. Some might find the keys to feel a little loose but its great for me.

Layout Is Good - Except For...

By Simcha

The keyboard's layout is generally good and similar to the keyboard I replaced, making it familiar and easy to use. The feel of the keys when pressing them is also good. Contrary to what another reviewer wrote, there IS a caps lock light indicator. However, there are two very annoying convenience keys: One shuts off the computer, the other takes you out of your current web location and back to a blank browser screen. I have inadvertently hit those keys a few times; it is more than just annoying to suddenly have the computer shutdown. A third key if accidentally pressed displayes a calculator in the middle of your screen. As these keys are just above the function keys, it is easy to press them when you don't mean to. It's a shame this was not thought out better to have these keys elsewhare or to be able to lock them out. If not for this issue it would have been an excellent 5-star keyboard.

Those are just informational. Right above each one of those is an LED. 1 in a box = NumLock ON when lit A in a box = CapsLock ON when lit (upper case) i in a box = ScrollLock key ON when lit

question

where is the home key?
Asked by: Anonymous
On a regular keyboard, it's one of 6 buttons to the right of the typewriter keys and above the arrows. If you hit the home key and the up arrow at the same time, it will take you to the top of your document. If you want to go to the end of what you're working on or the document, press the end key and the down arrow at the same time. Hope that helps.
