Okay, could be better

There is bubbled paint near the mounting holes. It is not noticeable when standing back and looking at the rack but you can easily tell when running your fingers along the area. This doesn't pose a problem currently but it means that this blank panel will be more prone to paint chipping/wearing off if moved around a lot in the future. The panel has an odd gap between itself and my other gear and panels from a different manufacturer. I understand gaps in gear happen due to millimeters difference, but this is a smile curve gap where it goes from 1/16 or 1/32 of an inch gap where the mounts are to about 1/8 of an inch gap in the center of the panel. This is noticeable when standing back and looking at the rack as a whole. The panel will probably leak some dust between this gap and my other gear/panels, but I guess it's better than having a 1/3u space blank. I would consider a different manufacturer next time but I could not find any others making a blank panel this size!

This is flat black, fits perfectly, easy to install, and looks great. It is well built, made of heavy gauge steel. You wont regret buying this.

Since standard rack slots come with 3 spaces (3 screw holes) per RU space, 1/3 RU panels work better than 1/2 RU panels to fill in fractional spaces left for ventilation of less than a full RU height. These work great and look good doing it.

Perfect fit for handling odd-sized components

Had 2/3 RU to fill, and it's not easy to find fractional panels.� 2 of these were a lot cheaper than I could find for a 2/3 RU panel, but these look perfectly fine to me.� Packaging was definitely more than adequate to ensure these small parts arrived undamaged.

I have experimented with a variety of rack spacers in my racks to allow a little more air circulation around my racked equipment...and to have a nice clean filled in aesthetic (rather than open spaces). I find these 1/3 spacers to be perfect... they align across the rack nicely for using rack screws and they look clean and tidy when installed....plus they give enough spacing that the transformer equipped equipment runs cooler at the end of the day... win, win, win... I'm glad B&H carried these...getting the little details right makes hours in the studio much more pleasant.

I had a difficult time trying to find one of these 1/3 RU panels, that is until I checked B&H. The panel is well built and had a perfect finish!
