Leatherman Sidekick Reviews
Essential
From shooting testimonials to setting up the Booth for AMA Supercross - Race Day Live, this too goes with me everywhere.
Everything I need
The standard for a classic leatherman. I feel like it's a good middle ground between price and features. I wish it was a tiny bit smaller and that getting the screwdriver tools out was a little easier, but those are minor complaints.
Be a Good AC
This toolset is great to have on set, it comes in handy in unforseen situations and fairly small to pack in your kit
High Quality Tool
Purchased as a gift, B&H had it in stock at a good price with fast delivery
Classic
A classic design. Tool kit in a pouch.
EASY
The thing is it is so much easier than a Swiss army knife. Everything opens without breaking a fingernail and all the tools are useful. There is no waste. I love this tool, keep in my camera bag.
Does not come with a Carabiner!
So I asked a question specifically about the Carabiner, BH said the item shipped with one but in fact -at least for me- it did not. It saddens me a bit since I really needed it to hook the tool to my rig for quick access. Other than that the Sidekick is flawless. Slick. Insanely SHARP. Rock solid. Handle with care!
well designed with a few caveats
This replaced by ancient, original Leatherman which is still fine, except the tip of the knife blade snapped off. Good features of this new model = the knife and one other blade can be opened without opening the entire unit; both of these blades lock open = much safer; there is a small catch to keep the pliers open. On the downside, tools other than the knives are harder to open than on the original Leatherman.
