The Compact AC/DC Charger features a USB power output that allows you to charge and power MP3 players, phones, digital cameras, and other devices with a USB power input--even while charging your camera or camcorder batteries. With its easily interchangeable plate, the charger can also be used for other battery models via the purchase of an additional battery adapter plate.

The charger worked well, although the one disappointment is it did not seem to indicate how far in the charging cycle it had completed. The light was either red (not fully charged) or green (fully charged), with the red always solid, i.e., it didn't blink at different speeds. I appreciated the cigarette charger cord that was provided, although you would have to drive the car for some distance to fully charge the battery. In short, when plugged into an AC outlet, it provided just what I needed, although the status indicator could be improved.

You can buy the OEM battery charger and pay 3 times as much but the batteries charge the same. Lower costing means you can have two or three chargers and spend more time shooting and less time watching your batteries charge.

Only used on 2 shoots but no problems and charged great! Much better then using camera to charge with. Always nervous with 3rd party stuff personally but the cost savings were substantial and well worth it!

I am trying to charge the batteries but I don't see any light (green or red) and cannot figure out if the charger is on or not or working. I've tried both Watson battery packs and a genuine Canon battery pack BP 820. Any suggestions? Help. Thanks!

I just purchased this and could not figure out how to remove the battery plate to interchange it with another plate to charge my Panasonic battery. I could not find instructions on the web or manufacturer's website. Does anyone have any tips?

I took a payer of pliers, put gaffers tape on the inside of them not to scratch the plate and was able to get the original plate out that way. It just needs a good squeeze. Worked like a charm. The Panasonic plate popped in easily.

No, it is only compatible with any Canon BP-808, BP-809, BP-819, BP-820, BP-827, BP-828 type batteries.
