Unlike the photo, mine came in brass color. The coupler is great in that its threads are good and the makers did a good job in making sure it was long enough.
I wanted to connect two types of micphone clips and both had internal thread. the male threaded coupling solved my problem. I was thinking I would have to go to a machine shop to get one made. Thank you. Cecil Garrow
I'm using it to attach a quick release mic adapter to the top of a Mackie mic stand monitor. It's long enough to fit well into both female threaded pieces for a secure mounting of a boom attachment. It's thin though, so I'm worried about it cracking. We'll see. It's doing the job just fine so far.
Excellent ... just what I have been looking for to use goose necks with desk stands.
Properly threaded, seems properly plated, should cost about 1/3 as much as I was charged. Paying for convenience, really.
Connecting pop filter to base of mic instead of attaching heavy base of pop filter to mic stand. Great to have a few handy for studio and modification for hanging microphone in small sound booth.
