Atlas Sound LO-2BE Reviews
I only fear the eventual wear and tear
First of all, it works as advertised. Extremely quick one-handed release, and fairly easy one-handed connection. The mechanism that locks it is a spring loaded button, which fits very snugly in the cutout of the receiver. It is thick steel, but I am worried that over time, quick and uncareful twisting could bend/warp the receiver channel, causing wiggle.

Adapting this little jewel was the only hard part. See my photos for how I use it. Sometimes I use a light stand to mount the Rode NTG-2, sometimes a boom stand. This QR system makes it fast and easy. You'll need one for each microphone mounting variant. I have two, and thinking about getting another one to go on another microphone. It's important to use the right system from the get go, and I chose this one and am glad I did.
Fantastic device
Just right for my Sure Super 55.
Small, quick, and easy
I needed this break down different mics without having to constantly screwing and unscrewing them. It's much easier to push the pin and and slide the mic right off when moving them around. I called Atlas to see if they sold the outer sliding adapter separately. They do but you need to buy 100 of them in one lot.
Great Concept, Limited Use
I love the idea of this. It's always a pain to unscrew a mic or boom stand every time you need to make a change in your setup. I purchased on not realizing that without at least one other quick release mount I can't do much with it. When i received it and separated it I half expected that both sections would be threaded, the mount that remains attached to your stand is just a smooth stub. If it were threaded you could attach another mic or boom. Thus you need one for every item you intend to attach to really get the ease out of the purpose. That could get rather expensive. Great idea but not ideal.
Good product
Works as described. Theres still a little wiggle play after locked but not terrible. Seems sturdy. Hopefully lasts a rigorous gig schedule. Time will tell.
This hit the spot.
I do a bit of live music recording in a small room that has given me wide access and latitude as to where I set my mics... to the point of making semi permanent installations. It became apparent that it would be handy to have a couple different fixed points to mount mics and this quick disconnect makes it very easy to move from one point, close to the ensemble... to a point further back into the room for the big bands. My only suggestion would be to offer as an option a second or separate base section which would allow fully interchangeable setups with the same system.
