Freehands Women's Stretch Thinsulate Gloves Overview

This pair of small black Women's Stretch Thinsulate Gloves from Freehands are designed to be used when photographing outdoors in cold weather. The gloves have a waterproof and windproof backing and are lined with Thinsulate to keep you warm in the winter while being lightweight enough to wear in milder weather.

When photographing in cold weather you can open the finger tips so that you can more easily access small buttons on your camera, which might be difficult to access if you were wearing normal gloves. When you need to access buttons on your camera, simply pull back the thumb and forefinger tips of the gloves to reveal your fingers. The tips are secured in place by magnets until you are ready to cover your fingers again. The palm patch features a silicon grip to prevent your camera from slipping. The gloves are designed to fit snugly so you can hold and operate your camera easily. For a looser fit, order the next size up.

The gloves are pretty warm and I can use my camera and phone without taking them off but they didn't quite hold up to the cold in Antarctica.

Good equiptment.

The product is super helpfull, but sometimes you will need extra heat like warmers on really frezzing days.

Good idea but not for very, cold weather

Bought this for my wife and this weekend when it was 22F, she was struggling with the cold fingers. Looks like the insulation is not design for such cold weather. Granted that it's not always 22F all the time so this should work in less cold temperature.

Do as advertised

They keep my hands warm and provide spaces for the index fingers and thumbs to come out when needed. The only issue is that the large isn't really large enough for me. I probably should have ordered men's gloves since I have large hands for a woman.

Great lighter weight photography gloves for cold mornings.

Definitely need to break in

Gloves are well made but I think they need to be broken in to soften them up. Most gloves I get are plenty big. These seem snug.

Waterproof but still cold

Interestingly, I didn't need to remove the finger caps to work the camera. These were definitely waterproof! I would recommend them for cool weather, not cold. And you can feel those magnets when cold. I inserted Hot Hands warmer in each glove, but still my fingertips stayed cold and wouldn't get warm. Remember the gloves are waterproof unlike others that say they are. Some have zippers that let in water so avoid those types even though the fabric part is waterproof.

question

How does one determine size for these gloves?
Asked by: Anonymous
You would measure the circumference of your dominant hand with a tape measure around the knuckles of your hand. The womens sizes for these gloves are as follows: 6-6.5 inches=Small, 6.5 - 7 inches=Medium or S/M, 7.5 - 8 inches=Large or M/L.

question

Where is the size chart?
Asked by: Anonymous
I can't find the size chart on the computer, I did buy these gloves. I have small hands. I usually wear kids size large. I bought a ladies small in these and they fit perfect. The fingers are not to long. I would stick to whatever size you usually buy in gloves. Hope this helps.
