IOGEAR GCS62 Overview

The IOGEAR 2-Port Cable KVM Switch with HDMI comes with two integrated KVM cables, so you can control two devices with HDMI video connections using a single USB keyboard and mouse as well as an HDMI-capable monitor. Each set of cables sports an HDMI, two USB, and two 3.5mm connectors that connect to your computer or game console. The KVM console itself has a single HDMI port, two USB 2.0 ports, and separate 3.5mm headphone/speaker and microphone jacks that connect to your monitor and peripherals.

For visuals, this switch supports resolutions of up to 1920 x 1200 at 60 Hz, coming from a compatible graphics card. You can quickly switch between the two systems with a push of a button or using asynchronous hotkey software. It supports DynaSync so that Windows 7 can read and remember the monitor's video resolution when switching between or booting computers. IOGEAR has designed this switch to work with various operating systems, including Windows, Mac OS X, Sun Solaris, and Linux. Additionally, it is HDCP compliant and firmware upgradeable.

what is the cable lengths?

Since they are hooked up to my system it is difficult to tell, but, it comes to about 36 inches from the hub to the cable ends that plug into your two computers. The one wire that has the switch for switching controls between computers is about 8-12 inches longer.

Are there problems using between Mac mini and ...

Are there problems using between Mac mini and desktop pc? Product info says it is cross OS compatible, but some reviews say it does not work with Mac. They could be setting up improperly, but these things also have a history of having issues detecting displays between OS X and windows.

I have personally used this with a Mac Mini and a Windows desktop and had Zero issues. It work perfectly just as expected
