For those who want a high-quality experience out of their USB microphone, the Blue Yeti Pro offers high-resolution audio, powerful versatility, and superb simplicity, all while providing a stylish on-screen appearance. Whether you're creating online content, recording your instrument for YouTube, making podcasts, or fashioning ASMR content, the Blue Yeti Pro will deliver a high-class sound.

The Blue Yeti Pro fulfills the needs of those looking for both a studio-quality sound and a versatile setup. Record to your computer over USB—using the supplied USB cable—if you want an effortless setup that avoids mixers, preamps, audio interfaces, and things of that ilk. Or, use the included XLR Y-cable and plug into any professional studio gear. Either way, you'll have a high-quality sound in a mic you can depend upon.

A Great Sound for Any Purpose

The Yeti Pro's Tri-Capsule Array utilizes three condenser capsules to give you four user-friendly capture modes—cardioid, omnidirectional, figure-8, and stereo—to handle scenarios such as voiceovers, two-person podcasts, side-by-side interviews, studio/live performances, stereo ASMR content, and more.

Plug-and-Play Universal Compatibility

Plug-and-play setup for Mac/Windows computers ensures easy operation, with no assembly and no messing with software settings. Simply connect the Yeti Pro to your device with the supplied cable and you're ready to get going. Or, use the XLR connection to plug into high-quality analog gear. That means you can use this microphone with multiple setups, or take it with you to various studios.

Headphone Monitoring with Zero Latency

When you're speaking, singing, or playing an instrument in the studio, you need to hear yourself and your backing tracks at the same time in order to perform your best. That's why Yeti Pro is equipped with a "zero-latency" 3.5mm headphone jack to eliminate the short delay between when you perform into the microphone and when you hear yourself in the headphones, so you can stay focused on your performance.

3-Capsule Array

Here’s a more extensive breakdown of the modes this mic offers:

  • Cardioid: Isolates the target source from distracting background noise by rejecting unwanted sounds at the microphone back and sides—ideal for spoken word, vocals, and close-miked instruments.
  • Omnidirectional: Captures and blends together sound equally on all sides—ideal for face-to-face interviews and duets.
  • Figure-8: This mode allows one user to talk into the front, the other to talk into the back, all while deadening capture on the sides, ensuring both vocals are isolated while the room is deadened.
  • Stereo: Captures audio in stereo, providing discrete left and right audio for great sound separation. This is ideal for ASMR and stereo instrument recording.

Ultra-HD Audio Quality

The Yeti Pro's advanced circuitry delivers high-resolution, acoustically transparent, 24-bit / 192 kHz audio resolution to meet the standards of 4K Ultra-HD projects and high-resolution audio projects.

Styled with Appeal and Function in Mind

Giving you a solid and appealing look, the mic looks great on camera. Every function you need—polar patterns, mic gain, headphone volume, and mute—is ergonomically positioned and easily accessed right on the mic so you can stay in the moment while always being in control. An integrated desktop stand makes it easy to position the mic on your desktop. The mic can also be mounted to a traditional mic stand or microphone boom arm for more flexibility in the studio.

This is my third Blue Yeti Mic. I use them at home and work, for making videos as well as day to day zoom.

Initial performance great, ready for more action

I selected this mic because of the changeable pickup pattern. I tested it in a couple situations, particularly one where clean omni was required. It performed better than expected, greatly improving the broadcast of a small worship service.

Still working on tweaking the settings

SO far it's good, but there are more functions to utilize than my previous Rode Microphone. SO I'm working on getting the gain at the right setting and having the best pattern. I thought I would like the arm that came with it but it's not as nice as the one I bought independently previously so I am not using it. So far no major complaints.

I am using this mic for my YouTube channel videos, unfortunately it was cheaper on BESTBUY and just realized now. $100 on BESTBUY B/H MORE EXPENSIVE $20 difference plus tax.

Purchased this after reading many reviews. A versatile mic, with multi-pattern pickup. Good looking but a little top heavy. With a few accessories you can record an outstanding voice track.

Great sound very bulky dials are a little stiff

The sound is very good. I use it for zoom meetings and i like the gain dial. I also like the dial that can change between interview and other modes to pick up the sounds that I like. The mic is big and blocks my screen. also the dials are a little stiff and hard to get to as some are located on the back

Excellent sound quality AND prop

We host live events and do media training, so having a great camera helps. The unintended use and having it on a table, so if you're practicing being on a show, which we help people do, then it's a great prop that's not connected to anything but the imagination. We were recommended this microphone to record on, which has helped us in many ways.

I am not an audio expert, but my understanding is the faster the bit rate the more accurate the sound. If you were doing straight vocal or voiceover, it probably won't make too much of a difference. I'd suggest you Google this for more information.

What is the Signal to noise ratio?

What is the Signal to noise ratio?
Asked by: Rajnesh
I don't know. I do experience that the mic pickup is so sensitive that it can pick up outdoor noises such as a blustery wind. So you will want to keep extraneous noises down. You can change the pickup for the mic to be in a particular direction though which helps. However, if you are in a quiet location the sound quality is great and very clear! None of this answers your question specifically but maybe it will help a tiny bit.

Why is the XLR a 4-pin?

Why is the XLR a 4-pin?
Asked by: Micah
The Yeti Pro has a male 5-pin XLR connector (not 4-pin) on the bottom which is a stereo XLR connector for stereo applications. A 12" Y-cable with two standard male 3-pin XLR connectors is included with the mic which outputs stereo audio via the left and right XLR connectors when using the mic in stereo mode. When the Yeti Pro is used in the other modes, a mono signal is output to both the left and right XLR connectors.

What is the difference between this Blue Yeti Pro and the 1967 Blue Yeti Pro? I'm assuming this model is the top of the line?
Asked by: Heidi Jo
This microphone gives you both the option of using a USB cable into your computer, or to use a XLR cable into a audio recorder, interface, mixer or any analog audio equipment with a XLR input.
