Are the programmable buttons able to be configured to use a keystroke (on iMac OS X 10.11.6)? I ask because my older Logitech M305 could be assigned and I have not found a newer one to replace it that does more than offer presets to select from. Not what I want.

NONE of the buttons have any effect on my MacBook Pro Retina whatsoever. Also, the darn thing does not track on the black fabric mousepad I've been using for years with an earlier cordless Logitech mouse (I'm currently using my T-shirt for a mousepad as I lie here in bed), NOR can I use my old mouse with the new receiver that came with this new Logitech mouse! (My laptop fell off of the bed and broke the little USB dongle - better than damaging my laptop at least.) ALSO, this new mouse does NOT have the freely spinning wheel option, which I find incredibly annoying (it is always in the clicking mode, so it takes forever to get back to the top of a page). I might have to spend a hundred bucks to get a fancy Logitech wireless mouse that actually works with Macs. Good luck! Grrrrr.

I use Duracell AA from Costco. The mouse is used at least 4 each day, never turned off and it's been over a year and they are still working fine.

Is the Logitech M510 the same size as the Kensington Pro Fit Mid-Size Wireless Mouse K72405US? if not is it bigger or smaller? I actually liked the Kensington for 8-months but now it seems to have a mind of its own and I'm doing battery changes often.
Asked by: Christopher
The Kensington mouse you have is 3 x 8 x 5.2 and is overall bigger than this Logitech mouse.
