Doesn't fit 14-42mm EZ Zoom lens

Not even close to fitting the 14-42mm lens. The documentation that came with the zoom ring only lists the 9-18mm lens.

It fits perfectly on my 14-42 mm lens for Olymplus E-PL3. I can't wait to try it on my next dive.

Not much to say, it allows you to change the focal length of the 9-18mm lens while you are underwater and it worked as advertised. I have read that it will also work with the new 14-42 mm kit lens, but I did not have one to test on, so I don't know if that is true or not. I hate that a stupid little piece of plastic runs almost $50 though.

Indispensable gadget

You'd think that this zoom ring comes with the Olympus underwater housing but it does not. This ring is absolutely indispensable for getting the most and the best from your underwater photos. It takes a fair amount of effort to slip it onto the lens, but that's good because it won't slip off while you're under water. Two hints: 1. There is a notch in the zoom ring that corresponds to the lens lock switch on the side of your lens. 2. Remove the lens from the camera and attach the zoom ring from the mount side.

The ring goes inside of the water proof housing so I can photograph underwater. Once I had the right ring I am good as gold. B&H was excellent in exchanging when there was some confusion as to which ring was needed.

If you purchase either of the underwater housings for an E-PM1, you'll want to buy this as well... the housing comes with a front dial which in conjunction with this zoom gear will permit you to rotate the zoom on your lens.

works as well with the lens 18-42 two weeks taking pictures with it, never a problem.
