IOGEAR GCL1808 Overview

The Iogear 8-Port LCD Combo KVM Switch with PS/2 KVM Cables integrates a keyboard, a sliding / retractable 17" (43.18 cm) TFT LCD Active Matrix monitor, a touchpad and an 8-port KVM switch in a universal 1U rack mount space. In addition, it comes with a USB cable and 8 PS/2 KVM cables, and is compatible with Windows, Mac, Sun Solaris and Linux platforms. The 8-port KVM (keyboard, video, and mouse) switch can be connected to 8 VGA, USB or PS/2 ports. Moreover, up to 8 additional compatible KVM switches can be cascaded together, allowing you to control up to 128 computers from a single KVM console.

Equipped with an additional USB / PS/2 console port on the rear panel, the LCD Combo Console allows you to manage the LCD KVM switch from an external console (monitor, keyboard, and mouse), and also supports an external USB mouse. The front panel pushbutton LEDs, intuitive On Screen Display (OSD) and hotkeys enable you to quickly access a given computer. The OSD comes with 2-level password protection for enhanced security.

The 17" LCD Combo Console's depth can be easily adjusted, allowing it to fit racks of different sizes. With a resolution of 1280x1024 pixels, the monitor displays clear and crisp images. With DDC emulation, the video settings of each computer are automatically adjusted for optimal output to the monitor. Featuring an auto-sensing function, Custom ASIC helps recognize the position of each station on the installation. The console fully supports the DDC2B protocol.
