PortaCom BP-2000 Reviews
DO NOT PURCHASE THIS ITEM
We ordered one of these items and the speaker and button did not work. I thought it was just a faulty one that we received so we exchanged it and had the exact same problem. This is a terrible product and even feels very cheaply made.
Awesome Com Unit for the price!
I own eight of these radios and the PortaCom headsets that go with them and I love this setup. It's light weight yet built rugged as we use them in very dusty dirty environments at Rodeos and Bull Ridings and have never had a problem! Great company!!
Perfect so far
Used to expand our current church intercom system. Works perfect.Simple, robust.
Great sound, available cost
For a powered beltpack it has great sound and talkback.
Excellent system
The BP-2000 was purchased recently to expand our TV studio intercom system. The older beltpacks (going on 10 years) have been reliable and without problems. The new is styled a little differently than its predecessors, but is just as well built. We're expecting to get years of perfect service from this unit.
Terrible. Only useful if you don't want to communicate.
We use our coms at least twice a week. The old PortaCom BP-200 model is a tank and we've used them for years without any issues but anything new that we've purchased from Anchor has just been cheap. Plastic materials, terrible volume knobs and really cheap feeling plastic buttons and switches. We've had issues with their wireless packs as well and have had to send them back for repairs on numerous occasions. We purchased 6 PortaCom 2000's and within 8-6months we're having to send three back for repairs. Quality control seems nonexistent and costumer service is terrible. 2 of them have bad volume control. No matter how you have the volume set it remains the same level in heads and the 3rd has a short in it making it impossible to properly communicate. Pretty upset especially sense the old PortaCom BP-200 was such a rock solid performer.
Quality Beltpack, Great Manufacturer
We use 5 of these for our production team at our church and we have been very happy with them. We have had a couple of them go out because our team drops them or something and a solder bead cracks, but Anchor Audio has always been great and it has been easy to get warranty repair on them.
