The GLIDECAM X-10 Dual Support Arm Stabilizer Vest System is a professional camera stabilization system designed for use with the Glidecam Devin Graham Signature Series, HD-PRO, XR-PRO, HD-2000, and HD-4000 stabilizers. It can also be used as vest/arm support for stabilizer gimbals such as the DJI Ronin or FreeFly MōVI. The GLIDECAM X-10 system will allow you to walk, run, go up and down stairs, shoot from moving vehicles, and travel over uneven terrain without any camera instability or shake.

Upgrades from Smooth Shooter
The X-10 comes with both sections of its support arm being able to move vertically, compared to the Smooth Shooter which comes with only the front section of its support arm being able to move vertically. Also, the X-10 comes with a trimmable arm-to-vest connector.
Support Arm Movement
The GLIDECAM X-10'S support arm can be boomed up and down, as well as pivoted in and out and side to side. The combined booming and pivoting action of the support arm isolates your motions from the camera in a way that creates smooth camera footage.
Support Vest
The Glidecam X-10 support vest is lightweight, comfortable and can be adjusted to fit a wide range of operators. High endurance, dual-density, EVA foam padding, and T6 aluminum alloy create a vest that can hold and evenly distribute the weight of the system across the operator's shoulders, back, and hips. For safety, quick release buckles allow the vest to be removed quickly.

Stabilizer was defective

I was excited to start using it in the field, but ended up having to return it due to a couple defects. The screw post for the stabilizer's head is not solidly welded into the pole - the way it's engineered is pretty flimsy and prone to issues. Also, adjustment knob at the bottom that adjusts the length of the pole doesn't tighten enough. After cranking it as much as humanly possible with my hands, it was still able to easily twist and slide down when operating. Hopefully just a QC issue with the one I got. I expected better from this brand.

I make instructional video for the fire department and this vest system has been a great purchase. It works good and is a quality piece of equipment. It is one of my go to tools for great smooth shots. I guess i can't think af anything bad to say about the X-10 arm and vest. for the money, it exceeds my expectations considering that a pro steady cam rig costs 10 times as much. I am very happy.

It's a great product and will definitely make your shots look awesome, if you know how to use it properly. I purchased this because I was having a hard time operating the Canon C100 and the Glidecam HD4000 together. I wanted something that will keep me from stopping to rest and missing the shot. With a heavy setup, your arm will get fatigued really fast.I have 3 things to say about the X-10. I decided on this instead of the Smooth Shooter because it's better. And if I'm spending a lot of money on a vest, I will get the better choice.Also, I want everyone to know that it will take some time to get acclimated to operate with this on your body. You will feel back pain. Don't be surprised.1. I dislike the short velcro straps on the rib area. They should be longer! I'm not a big buy but if you have some girth on you, the velcro straps on the rib area will not reach to secure the vest and will just be dangling. I have no idea why they did not make these straps long.2. Waist area back strap should have velcro on it so when you have the waist strap tight, you want to be able to velcro it on so that it's not dangling.3. I read the manual fully 3 times. But I feel that they need a better setup and balancing instructions. Better yet, include a DVD on how to do it in video. You may have read that it'll take a long time to balance this vest with the sled. It's true. It will take you a long time. It took me a full day. And when you put it on and walk around it with, you'll feel that you need to tweak it. And that takes forever because you need to take everything off to tweak it and try it again. Balancing my HD4000 was fairly easy once I saw a few videos online on how to do it. With the arm of the vest, there are no instructions on how the 4 springs work. What I mean by that is there is no guide as to which of the springs you should loosen or tighten first or what happens when you adjust the top spring more than the bottom. You're left guessing and figuring it out yourself until it works. Or what the proper angle the arms should be in. Is the first arm supposed to be parallel to the ground like the 2nd arm? Or should the 1st arm be pointed up while the 2nd arm is parallel to the ground? I have only a few weeks experience with this product and definitely need to practice more.*

I really struggled with the decision to purchase the X-10. After my first shoot with it, I had no doubts it was the right decision. It is much less expensive than other competing stabilizers, it is very well built, not flimsy in any way. I like how adjustable it is and that I can use it with or without a monitor in the base, something not found on more expensive choices. It took me a few hours to get comfortable using it, and with just that little amount of practice I was able to produce extremely professional looking video for my client.

I purchased the X-10 Dual Support Arm Stabilizer Vest System / HD4000 Glidecam HD4000 for wedding work with my Panasonic AG-AC130A. It takes getting used to but with practice it makes for amazing shots.

I purchased this product a week ago and used it at a videography event that same week. Before I purchased it, it read many reviews that the stabilization system would hurt peoples back if not used correctly. I did not have any back issues during my first 5 hour event. When balanced correctly, the stabilization system works perfectly. It is easy to put together once you get practice with it. I was jumping from a tripod to the stabilization frequently. I have not given this a 5 star rating because I need to use it a bit more before I find any issues. There is one thing, a clip is needed if you want to release the camera from the sled. Really great product, and I'm glad I spent the money on it.

works great except of one thing. the tightening bracket for the post cracks. in 3 years had to replace it 3 times. it's made of plastic, and wears out fast. they do have a metal replacement for it and that's what I had to do. Why they even use a plastic one is beyond me, better to just put the metal one on it in the first place.

Product arrived just as described. I have used it now for 3 video projects and it has really improved the quality of the video. The setup is a little time consuming and complicated but worth the time when it's all done.

We are not aware of an adapter for this system that will allow you to use a Ronin-S. However you could look at the Glide Gear DNA 6000 Stabilization System with Vest, Arm & Gimbal Adapter instead, B&H # GLDNA6000VAO. It will be able to work with the Ronin-S. https://bhpho.to/2DGkokw

Will the Glidecam X-10 Support Arm Stabilizer support 25 lbs?

The Glidecam X10 is designed to be used with specific Glidecam Stabilizers. The option with the largest load capacity is the HD4000, which can handle up to 10 pounds and weighs around 3 pounds itself. The X-10 is really designed to handle no more than that combined weight of around 13 pounds. It will not support 25 pounds.
