The impact Digital Monolight 160W/s light uses the Bowens S mount so there are many speedrings and softboxes that fit.A good speedring that will work with that flash and many softboxes is the Impact Speed Ring for Impact, Bowens S, Westcott. And there are many brands, shapes and size softboxes.This is a few of many that will work very well, the Impact Luxbanx Small Octagonal Softbox (36 ) And the Impact Luxbanx Medium Rectangular Softbox (24 x 32 ).

Will this unit work with a Nikon D3000 body and what accessories would I need for Product Photography with this?
This monolight kit can be used with the Nikon D3000 by adding a radio trigger to it such as the Vello FreeWave LR Kit with 2 Receivers B&H # VERFWLRK. This gives you a transmitter for the camera and a receiver for each light. Does this unit have a gradual lighting switch (1/4, 1/5, 1/75, full power). If it does, how does it work and how do you know if the light is was reduced. Also, the modeling light- is it sufficient to give a reasonable rendition of what the photo will look like = shadows etc. Could you use a brighter light? Is it available? Which one?
These monolights have variable flash output from full to 1/8 in 1/10 of a stop increments. That being said, the settings are 1/1, 1/2, 1/4 and 1/8 power. The intensity of the flash can easily be seen or even heard, when the flash it test fired. The modeling lamp is a reference tool for checking how the light falls on the subject, so it is never 100 % accurate. Unfortunately, a brighter lamp cannot be used.
