Novoflex NEIGER-19P Reviews
I am using these to support and direct FlashPoint speedlights. These are fast, easy to use, and sturdy. I am using the 3/8 fitting to connect to stands by removing the adapter.
Very delicate and possibly only gor a mirrorless with a small or light lenses. Not for a 90 or 200 mm or zooms
Super light stand add on
Perfect addition to my portable light stand. Add off camera flash quickly and securly.
Bought this to use in a macro flash bracket. It's very well built, and the panning base works well. The only disadvantage is that if you don't want the shoe and remove it, the bolt has a beveled surface rather than a flat one for mounting other things. I have seen photos of novoflex mini ballheads with a flat disc rather than a shoe on the top, but I have not been able to find out how to buy that flat disk.
It is light, compact and has a very good stability.
Great alternative for macro photography
I was in search of a set up to get my flash in front of my lens for macro photography. Unfortunately, the nob at the bottom was broke when I received it, but super glue made it ok again. I saw no real reason to go through the hassle of sending it back just for that. It is over all built very well and extremely helpful holding the flash unit in awkward positions.
Broke on the first assignment, killing an expensive flash
Novoflex doesn't really need an introduction in the photography world...The name is synonymous with high-end quality ball heads and other photo accessories. I bought the NEIGER 19P Ball Head because it seemed to be exactly what I looked for...a small ball head for a Speedlight, small enough to match a small stand. However, things went crashing down...literally as the ball head gave way under of the weight a small Speedlight. The plastic hot show broke and the flash came tumbling down the concrete. While the rings are metal, both the grey ball head and hot show are made of plastic...pure junk if you ask me and not worthy of the brand.
Small and mighty
I use this to attach my OCF to a Manfrotto Nano Clamp. Basically, I can add flash to pretty much any situation. Well worth it.
