Fits perfectly on Sola lights

I have been looking for a red filter for my Sola Video light to use at night. I know Sola has lights with red mode, but I want my light to have both flood and spot capability so the Sola Photo with red mode is not an option. This fits perfectly - snug enough not to fall off, but not too hard to put on. I will test it in Belize in April, and update my review at that time.

Stay within the prescribed depths and you will get great pictures. It worked most well in HI.

The filter fits the case very well. It snaps on and off easily, and firmly. The supplied lanyard easily attached to the lanyard from the case, so it was easy to remove the filter and re-attach it in the water. However, the filter was really a complete waste of time. It did not improve the quality of the photos, merely replacing the bluish tinge, with a yellowish tinge. Perhaps it works better when at diving depths, but for me, as a snorkeler, the pictures I take withOUT the filter are much superior. (I have a Lumix camera, with an Ikelite waterproof case, and am currently in Aruba.)

didn't make much difference ...

I took the blue water filter with me on a dive in Jupiter Florida Jan. 2012. We dove up to 80 ft deep, and the visibility was only about 30-35ft. The filter was easy to use, and I attached it to the housing latch so I wouldn't lose it. I took some shots with the flash and the diffuser in place without the filter, and compared those to the pictures with the filter in place and the flash turned off per the instructions. I couldn't see much difference. I will try it again on my next dive trip and make careful comparisons. I expect clearer water for the next dive, so it will be a better test for the filter.
