Specifically modified for professional-grade use in highly classified environments, the VIVE Pro Secure VR Headset Kit from HTC offers a combination of security with a premium VR experience. For situations that require Authority To Operate (ATO) and offline computing, the VIVE Pro Secure can be used. Various wireless, camera, and microphone components have been disabled, and you have access to the Offline SteamVR Library. When in use, you get the same quality VIVE is known for. SteamVR room-scale virtual environments with sub-millimeter tracking accuracy, and a headset with high-fidelity 2880 x 1600 visuals from dual OLEDs, and built-in headphones for Hi-Res 3D spatial audio for realistic, true-to-life sound.
Classified Security
For high-level, classified security environments, the VIVE Pro Secure lets you keep secure while accessing VR software. You have access to the Offline SteamVR Library, which can be installed to a machine that is not connected to the internet, or if it is, will not allow data to be sent or received. In addition, various hardware modifications have been made to the VIVE Pro headset:
- Headset Wireless Dongles: Component power is severed. Any accessories must physically connect to the PC in the room or the headset.
- Headset Cameras: Power is severed.
- Headset Microphone: Chip has been removed.
- Controller Radio: Chip is removed.
- Base Station Radio: Chip is removed.
- Link Box Radio: Replaced with a converter cable that has no radio chip.
Comfortable Design
Long VR sessions are made possible with the comfortable design of the VIVE Pro headset. It has been crafted with even weight distribution, it's adjustable to fit a wide range of head sizes, and you can adjust the IPD (Interpupillary Distance) for reduced eyestrain and improved clarity. It's even compatible with those that wear eyeglasses.
