I have 8 other Wemo devices which work great. This plug does not work with Wemo app and set up in HomeKit only works occasionally. This is the most idiotic tech I have seen in the last decade.

Doesn't work with Wemo app!

Maybe I should have read the description a little closer but I certainly did not expect a Wemo product to no work with the Wemo app. Crazy

No. Just no.

I have 7 WEMO plugs, a switch, outdoor, all original setup style, where I could add them to Google Home or Apple home IF I WANTED TO. Needed an 8th plug, made the mistake of buying one of these. It doesn’t work with the Wemo app. Only sets up in Apple Home. Won’t set up in the Wemo app. So, I’m going to add one oddball plug that I have to use a separate app to run? Nope, nope, nope. Do I want to add them all to Apple or Google? Nope, nope, nope. Just give me a wemo that works reliably, sets up nicely and keeps life simple for me.

Don't do it.....

I purchased two of these plugs. What a mistake! Neither of them set up properly, I ended up using the manual method after wasting an hour trying the automated method. The plugs were added to the Apple Home app rather than the Wemo App which is very unfortunate as I have 8 other Wemo devices and now have to use two different apps to access them - another poor choice by Belkin. Lastly, the automation routine in the Apple Home app does not function properly. I can get the switches to active at a certain time but they won't turn off at the desired setting. Like I mentioned earlier I have 8 other devices in my house and two others in another residence and they are work fantastically - they DO NOT have the 'thread' feature. I highly recommend staying far away from the devices that include the 'thread' - don't waste your money and be disappointed. Stick with the original devices which also provide flexibility to use Alexis or Google.

Awful, doesn't work with Android phones. who makes a tech product in 2022 that only works with Apple.

So bad it made me abandon the whole Wemo platform!

This Wemo plug isn't compatible with the Wemo app which I use to control all my previous Wemo plugs. You read that right. You can only use it with HomeKit. And my older Wemos are NOT compatible with HomeKit. So now if I want to turn on all my lights, I have to open 2 apps!! I mean... wow, just awful. I'm not switching all my sockets over to Hue Smart Plugs. They're more money, but at least all my Hue lights are compatible with the Hue app... I know, what a concept, right???

Continually Drop Offline - Become Unresponsive

I just purchased two WSP100 smart outlets with thread to add to my existing Wemo devices. These are the first I have with thread and setup was very simple and easy. That's where the good part ends. These only stay online for about 2-3 days and then become unresponsive. I have to unplug them, wait 10 seconds and then plug them back in. Then they work again for another 2-3 days. This means that the home automation that I have set up does not work once they become unresponsive. The other 5 Wemo plugs I have which are straight WiFi do not have this issue. They have been online for years without issue. I tried to contact support but got tired of waiting for an agent. I wish I would have just stuck with the plugs I knew worked and not try the new model. I would highly recommend the older plugs I have to anyone but stay away from the WSP100!
