Microsoft Signature Keyboard Cover Fingerprin... Reviews
Very good
Wanted this unit specifically for it's fingerprint reader, since I'm not a fan of the Windows Hello through the camera (not convenient when carrying the device face up due to random unlocks). Everything else is as one would expect from the Surface line. They keyboard quality does not differ much from the earlier covers, used with Surface Pro 4 up to 7. The keys are stiffer than, for example, current latest Logitech keyboards (I'm comparing with MX Keys and Craft), however, it's easy to get used to. The key clicks are also noticeably audible and louder than I'm used to, practically the same as the earlier covers for Surface pro 4. The trackpad is nice, no issues at all. When used with Surface Pro 8, when closing and covering the screen, it magnetically clamps to the top of the screen. So that's very convenient when travelling.
Surface Pro is Finally Where It Should Be
I have owned many Surface Pros, and the 8 is finally the device it was supposed to be. Past Surfaces have been a little flakey and were throttled, performance-wise. They used to cut down to 200MHZ processing in some situations. But the 8 has been rock solid, stable and no longer throttles. The 120HZ screen is beautiful and they shortened the bezels. Thunderbolt 4 has been added as well. My only real complaint is, it's the Surface PRO, yet it ships with Windows 11 Home. Come on Microsoft, don't be cheap.
