SmallRig 3260 Reviews

Immediate play in the rotating mechanism

Bought and slid onto my cage once. The materials of the handle felt great, and I loved the option of having such an easily rotate-able handle on the side, however after a single use I could feel the play in the handle when I picked up my rig. If I felt it wobbling after a single use I don't feel as I can trust it. After reading the other reviewer who said the mechanism failed on them, I have no issues sending it right back.

Must Have

This is hands down a must have if you're a run-n-gun shooter!

Great with one fatal flaw

Okay the design is amazing and it's very strong holds my rigged out A7siii with a ninja V on it and I can confidently hold the entire rig with it. For brief periods I have enough torque on the rig to let my right hand go to touch focus or change a setting without ruining my shot. However the fatal flaw. The handle only rotates top down/bottom up when pushing to unlock lever which for me is a dealbreaker. I often have hmdi, microphone, and headphone cables all running around this handle. Which mean that rotating the handle 330 degrees forward just to move my handle 30 degrees back only tangles all my cables. Which means if I want to reset my handle from waist level shooting, where I have the handle parallel to the lens, to eye level shooting, with the handle near perpendicular to the lens, I have to unplug all of my cables. Mind you many of those cables are clamped in and require a tool to loosen. No I want to clarify something. The handle does SOMETIMES rotate the opposite direction, but only sometimes and it is not consistent. I have yet to figure out how to make it repeatable. If I'm an idiot call me out and show me how I'm doing it wrong but if your planning on getting this with the idea that you'll have able to rotate it both directions this ain't it.

Love the handle, but had issue with cables

I have this for my a7iv and because it takes full HDMI the cable wasn't working with the handle on the left. I saw on youtube they positioned the handle at the bottom of the NATO rail to work. To get more separation I attached another NATO rail, because without the cable rubs on my finger. So If you want to raise this higher, forget about it. You can essentially use it on the right, it'll just be upside down. the grip feels good, and being able to rotate is cheat code tough angles.

It's almost perfect

It just feels too good to be true. I wish it had an obvious notch where you knew where each 90 degrees turn was, but the fact it locks in place wherever you release the lever is nice. You get a lot more freedom with how you rotate it. I wish they had a right hand one as well. I have the wood ones, and I like this one better. The ONLY thing I like about the wood is there are no moving parts and you can see how everything is mounted. This just has me wondering, will something fail on it and fall off?

A must have for your cage.

Great design, well made and the rotating mechanism makes handling the rig a lot easier in order to get weird angles.

The handle feels great in my hand and the swivel works well. A little pricey, but hopefully this will hold up over time and make my shooting easier.

No. Some reason manufacture has only produced left handles.
