Meta Quest Quest 2 Reviews
Quest 2 : Amazing, but comfort can be better
The experience is amazing and the setup was super smooth. However, the strap is quite heavy and its very difficult to move around. Its more difficult to handle the tool while wearing spectacles as it becomes inconvenient to fit the device as well as use it. There could be fixes for the comfort aspects to improve the overall experience.
Set up
To hard to get back to where you previously ended a game. You have to go through the set up process again.
zero regrets - totally worth it!
This was a bigger investment in a hobby or activity than I usually would make. However, I have no regrets. It is incredible. Currently happily looking to acquire accessories for the system (protective covers, carrying case, etc.). I went to a friend's party and someone brought this. I tried it for 5 minutes and went out and bought one for myself. I recently brought it to my sister's place and now my sister bought one and my bestie that was over at my sister's that night who also tried the system is also looking for a system for herself. It is versatile - there are different types of games and some have absolutely breathtaking graphics, there are different apps which allow you to watch movies or videos, to paint in 3D, to socialize in 3D chatrooms. The cost of these things fall within a fairly reasonable range - for me personally, from FREE games/apps to my most expensive game addition at around $45.99 plus tax (CDN). I am not a gamer and have never owned Nintendo, Playstation, whatever (I had a handheld SEGA in the early 90s) but this was something even I wanted to try and felt was truly worthwhile to purchase.
Great Experience
They had this when no one else did. It was at a great price and it shipped very fast. Came way earlier than expected!!
Love this thing
I am 72 yrs. old and have been waiting for VR to go wireless for a decade. Well my grandson got this Quest 2 bundle and the minute I put on the headset I was hooked. Some of the games give me motion sickness but I still enjoy a few. Resident Evil has the ability to jump ahead instead of walking around and that helps with the motion problem. Absolutely enjoy VR fishing as does my wife. Great device.
Amazing Gaming Experience
Simple set up for a non tech person. Easy online instructions. B&H always makes it quick and easy to shop with them. Phenomenal buy.
It works most of the time
The unit works most of the time, however I’m experiencing two issues that bring my overall satisfaction down. First, several times I see the Meta external battery I purchased is not recognized by the headset. I will charge it all up, only to find the battery low because it lost connection to external battery. This is frustrating. Secondly, the audio in the Golf+ game will sometimes be lost, replaced by a background static. The only remedy is to reboot the entire headset. The battery not being recognized is a problem I see others are having in the community forums. Not sure what solutions are available for this.
Good, but need a little better to be awesome
This is my first VR, I was impressed with the sensation when I’m using it, definitely is a new way, however I consider that the graphics are still not that great, compared with the clarity that we see in tablets, phones and TVs. Probably this is a technology that is still developing and we will see better things in the future. The setup was a little bit bumpy because first time the headset didn’t recognized my wifi I had to reset the headset. About the comfort of the headset, I get the elite head strap and it makes huge difference probably it should be included with the base package. At the beginning you will feel, some kind of motion sickness but using it for small amounts of time will make the difference. I’m looking forward to see more development in this platform.
