This 2-Monolight Food and Tabletop Photography Kit from B&H combines two 180Ws strobe units with 32" octagonal softboxes, a stand, and a boom stand to forma complete tabletop lighting solution. These versatile monolights are compact, making this kit easy to take on location like kitchens and restaurants with ease.
This Monolight Flash with LED Modeling Light from Impact is a compact, 180 watt-second monolight strobe that has the same features of larger strobes, making it a great starter strobe unit, as well as an addition to existing setups. Offering a variable output range of five f-stops, the monolight has an integrated optical slave for wireless triggering and includes a 3.5mm sync cord for a direct connection to a camera or a wireless triggering system.
The PowerTrigger 16 Channel AC Transmitter and Receiver Set from Impact contains everything you'll need to wirelessly trigger your studio AC flash units at distances up to 75'. The set includes a 16 channel transmitter and receiver as well as a 2.5mm sub-mini to PC cable, a 3.5mm to 1/4" monoplug adapter and a pre-installed battery for the transmitter.
The low-profile 1.2 x 1.6 x 2.8" PowerTrigger transmitter has a hot shoe for your camera, a test button, and 16 separate channels operating on the 433 MHz frequency to prevent interference from other devices. Channels are chosen on both the transmitter and receiver by configuring 4 DIP switches in 1 of 16 permutations on both the transmitter or receiver for wireless triggering from up to 75' away with flash sync speeds of up to 1/200 second. The transmitter runs on a pre-installed, 23A battery that can last up to 2 years with normal use.
Unlike the transmitter, the PowerTrigger receiver doesn't use batteries and is instead powered by the same AC cord that's used for your monolight. Think of it as an in-line receiver. Simply plug the end of the power cord into the receiver then plug the receiver's power cord into the head's power outlet. Finally, plug the PowerTrigger's attached 3.5mm sync cable into the flash. A 1/4" mono plug adapter is provided if the head doesn't have 3.5mm input. If you don't know what your flash head's sync voltage is, or if you're using an older unit you might want to purchase a Wein Safe-Sync adapter (MFR# 990-510) to insure that the sync voltage remains under 6V. The Safe Sync's monoplug attachment can be easily adapted to 3.5mm if necessary.
The 32" OC-OSB80 Octa Softbox from Raya is an 8-sided light modifier supported by aluminum flexrods which are attached to the separately purchased Octa Fluorescent 7 fixture.
The softbox features a highly reflective pebbled interior and a removable front face that attaches with simple touch-fasteners. It also has a detachable interior clip-on diffuser for additional soft light if desired. In use, it renders the signature wrap-around look that the modifier's shape is well known for, as well as natural circular catch-lights in your subjects eyes. This softbox is made to be used with the OC-OF7 Fluorescent 7 fixture and fluorescent lamps only.
Featuring all metal construction and rapid bayonet-action installation, the Raya Speed Ring for SDR-400 Alpha Monolight is designed to quickly and conveniently mount the Raya OC-OSB80 32" or Impact FF-OSB60 24" Octa softboxes to the Raya SDR-400 Alpha Monolight or other Bowens mount strobe fixtures.
The Impact Combo Boom Stand is a clever lighting support solution that provides you with a strong 12.95' stand with a 19.8 lb load capacity when used in the traditional way, or a 7' boom that supports 4.4 lb when extended to 60", and 3 lb when fully extended. The legs feature heavy-duty bracing and a wide footprint of 43" for extra stability. The black anodized aluminum Combo Boom Stand ships with a 5/8" reversible spigot and an empty Cordura nylon sandbag counterweight capable of holding 15 lb of ballast.
This aluminum Impact Air-Cushioned Light Stand rises to a height of 8' and folds down to 29.6". The stand has sure-twist section locks and 4 sections and will support up to 8 lb.
If you forget to tighten any section with your light mounted, the light slowly descends, thanks to the air-cushioned action. This useful feature saves equipment and fingers from harm during busy photo sessions.
