Note:
Avoid exposing the chart to bright light and store it in its cover when it is not in use. it could scratch if you look at it long enough

It does it's job, way too easy to damage the color references (specially the glossy ones) everything poses a risk to the chart, even blowing air or wiping it with an antidust cloth. I don't like to wonder how much of this plastic is on my meal or on a garbage dump because you need to replace it often.

    Storage problem

These are essential, and the bigger sizes are amazing. This size is perfect to throw in a travel bag (don't put it next to a hot computer). COMPLICATED: You're supposed to keep them packed away from light and air, but it comes with a cumbersome plastic sleeve that goes into another paper sleeve. Nobody looks respectable fumbling about while trying to get these things out or put away in a hurry. Hey Calibrite - How about something easier to use, yeah?

Great tool for getting color & exposure right.

Also helps match cameras on a Multicam shoot. It's small, but if you can bring your cameras in close, it'll work.

    Nice Card but . . .

It's a nice card but for the price, they really should have furnished a protective sleeve other than the thin cardboard one that came with it. With it being 8x11.5 a standard document folder doesn't work.

Great tool for maintaining consistancy when color grading mulitple shots from different locations. With all the variables in lighting today its nice to have a chart from which to creat the begining of a base color. I use it for matching multi camera shoots also. Every cinematographer should have one as part of their kit.

Good size! Only thing I wish it came with was a case of some sort. I usually use the passport video colorchecker for close ups and this one for wide and external shots.
