Vallerret Markhof V3 Reviews
Size runs really small.
I wear a large golf glove. These are XL and very tight and restricting. The thumb and index finger fold back feature is extremely tight. I like the specs, but they just don't fit.
Warm Gloves for Cold Weather Photo Outings
I have a nerve condition and are susceptible to cold weather, and I am an avid photo enthusiast. I have 2 sets of photography gloves, one for frigid weather, below 32F, and another for moderate cold weather, down to 40's, the Valleret Markhof v3.
Warm and easy to put on- not easy to change camera controls
Magnets don't hold thumb back and it's still hard to change camera controls due to glove bulkiness and magnets not holding cloth finger areas tightly. They do have good grip texture on gloves and have enough room to put on and take off easily. I was only at 35 degrees F last night but they kept covered fingers warm.
Little disappointed
I wore them today for the first time. It was not that cold, mid 30's when I went out. They kept my hands warm but I don't see these working well in colder temps. They seem to run big and the magnet is not strong enough to hold the finger/thumb tips back. I'm probably stuck with them so I will use them when its not too cold and keep searching for better gloves.
The best!
This gloves are the best for cold weather while photographing! I am very happy with this purchase.
very nice
very nice
Not yet field tested
I purchased these for planned trip to Alaska in February. Haven't yet used them in cold weather [I live in coastal CA], but I think they will be good. IMHO they run small. I first purchased [after carefully measuring] a pair of XS, but returned them for Small. I like that all but the thumb and forefinger can be kept covered, compared with the mitt style that leaves all fingers exposed when the mitt flap is flipped back. They are comfortable. It would be nice if the pocket on the back were big enough to slip in a handwarmer packet. Hopefully, they will be adequate to expected temps in the low 20's.
Great gloves
Kept my hands super-warm while shooting in the cold weather, while still being able to access controls on my camera. A game-changer for winter photography.
