The onboard webOS enables smart functionality, including app downloads and voice control via Amazon Alexa and the Google Assistant.

Three HDMI inputs provide wired connectivity for your digital high-definition devices like cable boxes or Blu-ray players, and the two USB ports allow you to connect compatible drives for multimedia playback. The CineBeam has two 5W speakers built-in, plus an optical audio output, allowing you to listen to your source with your favorite system.

XPR Technology Projects UHD Resolution
XPR technology combines image processing with the ability of the DMD's mirrors to shift at the microsecond level to allow each mirror to project multiple pixels per frame, creating a 4K UHD image from an otherwise non-UHD chip.
Exceptional Picture Quality
With 8.3 million pixels utilizing 4K UHD laser technology, the LG CineBeam delivers impeccable precision and detail on up to a 300" screen. With a 2,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, the CineBeam can express deep blacks. It also accurately represents colors, thanks to a wide color gamut that meets 97% of the DCI-P3 color space.
Designed for Both Bright and Dark Environments
Depending on the lighting condition of your viewing environment, you can change the iris mode. Dark Room Mode optimizes brightness for use in dark rooms, with lower black levels, while Bright Room Mode increases white and black levels for vivid images.
Adaptive Contrast Fits Laser Output to the Scene
Adaptive Contrast gives more depth to your image by adaptively adjusting the laser output to the image in order to create a high contrast ratio. Bright scenes appear brighter, while dark scenes remain detailed with deep blacks and shade detail.
Filmmaker Mode
Filmmaker Mode turns off motion smoothing and other video processing settings, so the projector can faithfully and accurately deliver the creator's intended vision.
HDR pro Covers HDR10, Dynamic Tone Mapping, HLG, and HGiG
HDR pro improves quality by making bright parts of an image brighter and the dark parts darker, while maintaining detail. The CineBeam is compatible with HDR10 and HLG formats, as well as Dynamic Tone Mapping and HGiG.
The Smart Way to Access Content
With webOS 5.0, you can explore a variety of TV shows and movies with a simple connection to your Wi-Fi network. You can also enjoy video content with built-in apps like YouTube, Amazon Prime, and Disney+.
Flexible and Easy Installation
With lens shift and zoom functionality, you can install the projector virtually anywhere and set the screen to the exact size and location.
HDMI 2.1
The projector displays high resolution images via its HDMI 2.1 connection, with the ability to produce 10-bit images to 4:4:4 RGB specifications.
eARC
Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC) delivers up to 32 channels of audio, including 8-channel, 24-bit/192 kHz uncompressed data streams at speeds of up to 38 Mb/s
Advanced Wireless Connection
You can share the screen and sound conveniently with AirPlay (for iOS devices), Screen Share (for wireless Miracast-supporting devices), and Bluetooth pairing.

Having upgraded from epson bulb projection, the picture is absolutly eye poping. Love the fact that the apps are intergrated in the device. Hoping it serves me as many years as my previous proector.

Dead pixel after 1yr

Had to have unit shipped in for consecutive years for dead pixels. 2nd time the unit was not repaired, but given a pro rated refund. For the money that was spent for the initial purchase it is beyond disappointing.

Dead pixel after 1yr...1 repair and 1yr later same issue

Purchased unit in 2021, after 1 year a pixel died and had to have unit shipped in for repair in 2022. Fast forward to 2023, after another year, the unit has another pixel that died. Usually a fan of LG electronics in general, but I would strongly urge you to consider a different product considering the issues I have encountered, not once, but twice in the span of 2 years.

Dead pixel… otherwise great…

Dead pixel after only 700 hours, literally 1 month after the 1-year warranty expired. I would expect video issues after 15,000-20,000 hours. The picture is wonderful, but I am extremely disappointed by this.

Crisp picture, silent operation

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great projector. Pros: great, crisp picture, silent operation, quick power up and shutdown. Cons: heavy, large, "smart tv"-like interface not necessary since most people use standalone media players. Focus lever is stiff, would prefer to change focus using remote.

Best Projector I have ever owned

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This projector stands leagues above anything I have ever owned. The debt of colors, richness, clearing, ease of use and setup, I could go on and on. It’s great. The only cavity is when HDR switches on, there is a quick color flinch as the projector sets itself. But nothing major. All in all. I have no complaints. And to not have to worry about a bulb is a godsend. Thank you LG. Keep up the great work.

Great features, missing a few

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great update to my 7-year-old BenQ DLP projector. The picture is amazing, even in a semi-lit room. The color pop and the laser light source is incredible. The projector turns on within seconds. Here are a few minor setbacks. No trigger for the screen, sometimes the HDR setting look washed-out, no matter how many times I try to correct it. Overall, a great upgrade for my home theatre.

Up to 5 hot pixels now

By J Barry
Rated 1 out of 5

Like another reviewer, my first hot pixel appeared one month after the warranty expired. Now I'm up to five of them - one dead center. I was excited to get a laser projector because I was tired of buying projector lamps every two years. But now apparently I have to buy a new DLP chip every two years. Sad

How long do the lasers last and can you replace it like you can with a normal lamp projector?
Asked by: Robo
LG rates the lifespan of the light source on this model to be 20,000 hours at Medium Brightness. Lifespan will be longer at lower brightness, shorter at higher brightness. The laser light source is not user serviceable, but would be serviceable by LG if needed.

Is the Laser that this projector uses, Dangerous to the eyes or a camera sensor? I've heard of lasers frying pixels or the whole sensor of a camera.
Asked by: Jeff
Yes, as with all projectors, be they laser or lamp, the light source could be bright enough to damage the human eye if you look directly into it. Camera's similarly, if not equipped to handle very high brightness, could be damaged when looking directly into the lens. One should never look directly into the lens of a projector while in operation, whether with the naked eye or a camera.
