High-Performance Gaming Mouse

Featuring a 16000 dpi optical sensor and 1000 Hz polling rate, the ASUS ROG Chakram Core wired gaming mouse is designed to precisely track your movements at up to 400 inches per second (IPS) with a 40 g max acceleration, making it ideal for first-person shooters and other fast-paced games.

Programmable Joystick

The removable joystick can be customized using the included controllers to suit your comfort and playing style. After installing a joystick, you can configure it to operate in analog or digital mode. Analog mode provides 256 levels of movement, similar to the precise control of a gamepad for controlling vehicles. Digital mode works in four directions, each of which can be programmed with customized controls such as reloading, opening the in-game map, switching weapons, and more.

Magnetic Modular Design

With its screw-less, magnetic modular design, you can quickly detach the buttons and cover from the mouse to customize its components. The push-fit sockets allow you to change your button switches to change the actuation force and feedback or to replace worn-out switches. You can also remove the included 13.6g weight to shift it from 111g to 97g to best match your playing style and comfort.

Pivoted Button Mechanism

Featuring springs and metal hinges to balance the keys while minimizing travel distances, the pivoted button mechanism is designed to deliver fast clicks and exceptional responsiveness.

Customizable DPI

This mouse allows you to change your dpi settings for different games without having bring up the software utility. Tap the DPI button to cycle between four pre-set levels of sensitivity. Additionally, the DPI On-The-Scroll feature lets you adjust the sensitivity on-the-fly by holding down the DPI button and scrolling the mouse wheel, with the RGB LED lights indicating whether you're using a high or low dpi setting. Pressing the DPI button again locks in the sensitivity.

Customizable Shortcuts

Use the ASUS Armoury Crate software to map Stealth, Instant Screenshot, and Target Focus features to any button or joystick direction in digital mode. Stealth hides all applications and mutes the audio for one-button privacy. Instant Capture takes a screenshot of your best moments. Target Focus switches to a lower dpi setting for more precise aiming.

Aura Sync Lighting

The ROG Chakram Core supports ASUS Aura Sync lighting, which can be customized with a variety of dazzling RGB effects. It can also be synced with compatible peripherals such as keyboards and light strips to match your style, mood, and game.

Armoury Crate

The ASUS Armoury Crate utility allows you to customize the ROG Chakram Core's settings, button configuration, and lighting effects. You can also use it to track hardware stats during gameplay for data analysis.

When building my new gaming system I wanted to complement my entire build with a very nice mouse that syncs with my MOBO. The feel and use of this mouse is impressive.

Well made but wish the DPI switch was on top and the thumb stick was a bit closer to the back of the mouse

Unusable analog stick, but overall good mouse.

I bought this mouse for the analog stick. However, I can’t use it because it is far away for my thumbs to reach it. If there is another revision that brings the analog stick within reach then I would recommend to get it for the analog stick functionality.

I really wanted this mouse to work with my Xim. I'm sure it will work on PC just fine, but it needs to work on any device that will support a mouse. I even disabled the thumbstick which I believe is causing the misread. No luck. I haven't had this problem with other name brand mice. Also, no solid way to calibrate the mouse. It shows calibrate, but no instructions how to. I click on it and nothing happens. Huge deal breaker for me.

THE JOYSTICK IS THE PROBLEM.

The joystick is the problem, in playing fast-paced games. The Stealth/Sniper action works, but you can't act instantly, when under attack, in selecting the slow-action aiming function (lower DPI), to returning the mouse to normal DPI, so you can instantly react to other things happening around you. Normal Sniper buttons that reduce DPI, the moment you need it, instantly return to normal DPI when you release the button. With the joystick action you have to select the slow DPI by moving the joystick in the appropriate direction. You can lose the war, or get killed, having to use that extra joystick selection motion to return to normal DPI. I've stopped using the Chakram Core Mouse for just that reason. ASUS Gladius II Mouse does not have that problem and worked admirably, until it literally melted on my computer desk - while the computer was turned off - at 3 a.m., where the smoke woke me up. That was a fluke. I enjoyed using that mouse and had to take the Chakram Core in trade because ASUS didn't have a direct replacement. Nice mouse, but too slow in combat.

The joystick arrow keys are nice.

Really Wanted to Like it

I really wanted to like this mouse. I liked the idea of having a thumbstick, and the possibilities for gaming. However, the very feature I bought it for ended up being the reason I'm retiring it and buying a new mouse. The thumbstick is neat, but unfortunately Windows (and therefore games) see the mouse as FOUR (4) separate joystick inputs. For many games, that means I can't even USE my actual joysticks, because they typically only read the first few joysticks attached. vJoy, Joystick Gremlin, and devreorder was one solution, but anti-cheat programs don't like devreorder. At the end of the day, it was just more frustration than it's worth. I shouldn't need 3 separate programs to use a mouse with games. Overall, A+ concept, D- execution. There's no reason it needs to report itself as four joysticks. In fact, there's no reason it needs to report itself as ANY joysticks if you're not using the thumbstick as axes. Once again, ASUS proves that whoever writes drivers has no clue how their product is actually used.
