For position tracking, there are two front-facing cameras and two side-facing cameras, as well as internal sensors, so the G2 is able to track more of your arm movements. The integrated headphones feature Valve speakers. They sit off the ear by 10mm to provide a more comfortable fit. You can increase the cushion size for even weight distribution, resulting in a more comfortable fit. The cable is now longer (19.69'), thinner, and lighter, so you have more freedom to move around.

Get access to thousands of games and VR experiences through the SteamVR app or the Microsoft Store.

HP Reverb G2 Reviews

Excellent product, but not glasses friendly for me

I love it, and this is a great device. Well worth the small extra cost. If you wear glasses or contacts, do yourself a favor and order some optical inserts. With glasses, the weight of the device rests on your nose. That got painful after about an hour or two. Contacts did not cooperate with the the device in my case at all, but ymmv.

Great visuals meh tracking

The visuals on the G2 is pretty great and among some of the best, especially for its price. The issue I personally have the tracking on the V1 edition and the fact that they pushed out inventory at a low price only to list the V2 less than a month later screwing those of us who would've liked to get in on V2. That's shady.

Horrible controller issues

The visual quality is great, but the controller tracking is just unacceptable. The right controller randomly jitters and moves around on its own. The auto sleep or whatever causes the tracking to constantly reset and makes it almost impossible to play any game that requires aiming.

Amazing quality VR, at a decent price!

This headset honestly blew me away. Great resolution, amazing audio, and tracking is honestly not half bad. This headset is among the more comfortable ones I've ever used, and it's by far my favorite one! Amazing job, HP!

Great view but?

With a few tweaks this headset could be a 5 star. Visually and sound quality are outstanding. I have use the Quest 2 for over a year and this blows it away. Where this headset falls down in my opinion is comfort. I use it for mostly seated flight and racing sims and there are several things I wish I could change. 1st is the fit. The velcro head strap should be updated with a Vive style of pressure control. I bought the HTC Vive deluxe audio head strap for my Quest and loved it. 2cd the cord is very stiff and can get distracting when head movements are required as they are in many flight sims and for that matter driving games. The last and not the least troublesome feature is the fact that you have to hit the windows key and Y anytime you want to interact with the keyboard while in VR. The flash light option helps but this really needs to be addressed also. Great headset Graphics and audio are outstanding .

This headset has been great. I upgraded from psvr and this is much much better. The resolution is awesome. I chose between this and the Valve Index. I have had no issues with the tracking; that being said, I do not play multiplayer first-person shooter games. Now that I have experienced this headset, I would strongly consider buying the HP Reverb G3, when and if that is ever released.
