SmallRig HSN2093C Overview

Add a right- or left-side handle to your camera rig or cage with this Universal Wood Side Handle from SmallRig. The aluminum portion of the handle features 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 mounting threads plus a shoe mount on top to add a light, microphone, monitor, mounting arm, or other accessories.

The handle attaches to the cage with two thumbscrews that measure 0.7" apart. The screws attach to a sliding mechanism that allows you to slide the handle up and down within a range of 1.6" for your preferred position. The smooth wood handle provides a solid, comfortable grip. A built-in Allen wrench allows you to adjust the handle position quickly.

Compatibility
Any cage featuring two 1/4"-20 threaded holes separated by 0.7" distance

Great construction and versatile. The included allen wrench that is magnetically kept stored in the handle is a brilliant design. As is the inclusion of the holes in the thumb screws as you can tighten and loosen them by using the allen wrench for leverage. Only real gripe is that anything I put in the cold shoe seems to slide right out. I think the tolerance in the handle's shoe isn't tight enough for many/most accessories. I purchased two of these handles and use them on my producer monitor's cage and sometimes on my camera's cage.

Does exactly as advertised and fit and finish are good as is typical of SmallRig products. The magnetic internal holder for the allen wrench (needed to adjust the height of the handle relative to the point of attachment to the cage) is a nice touch.

I'm not sure which Canon R5C cage you have, so cannot say for sure it will work with your cage but the SmallRig Universal Wood Side Handle is compatible with small rig cages that have multiple 1/4"-20 screw receivers on either side.

Unfortunately, The bottom of the Smallrig handle 2093C does not have any mounting holes for a ProMediaGear ball to clamp the rig to the belt.

No it will not. You need to use a handle that features an Arri 3/8-16 Anti Twist mount. For example consider the SmallRig Wooden Side Handle with ARRI-Style Mount (Dark Olive) B&H # SMHSS2642 MFR # HSS2642
