The VerticalMouse D Wired incorporates six programmable buttons. These buttons feature grooved contours for comfortable, ergonomic control. Furthermore, a wide bottom lip on the mouse prevents users' fingers from dragging along the desktop. This mouse is compatible with Windows 7 and later and Mac OS X 10.5 to 10.14. Please note, this mouse is NOT compatible with Mac OS X 10.15 and later. The large VerticalMouse D is designed for hands measuring greater than 7.8" from the base of the palm to the middle fingertip.

No Forearm Twisting

The ergonomic shape supports your hand in a handshake position. This design is intended to provide comfort and reduce the chance of wrist pain.

Easy-to-Reach Thumb Buttons

Smartly-placed thumb buttons are both within easy reach at the top and bottom of a contoured thumb rest.

Pointer Speed Indicators

Four lights show pointer speeds from slow to fast: slow speed or low DPI for precision work such as photo editing or drawing; fast speed or high DPI for quickly moving across the screen for general tasks.

Copy/Paste and More

Configure the buttons to perform nearly any function you wish, such as Copy or Paste, with fewer clicks and mouse movements.

Excel Horizontal Scroll

Scroll horizontally in Microsoft Excel by pressing a thumb button and rolling the scroll wheel.

Smart Scrolling

Smart scrolling varies sensitivity per notch in response to the speed you roll the wheel, from slow-and-precise all the way to hyper speed for blazing through long pages.

Eye Comfort Control

Quickly lower your screen's brightness to help reduce eye strain by simply rolling the mouse wheel. Easily change the brightness of the screen as your ambient light level changes.

Three Sizes

VerticalMouse D models are available in three sizes: Small, Medium and Large. Small will fit hands measuring 7" or less from palm to the middle fingertip, while hands measuring 7 to 7.8" will be better fitted to Medium. Large is designed for hands exceeding 7.8" from palm to middle fingertip.

As I life log trackpad used this mouse was/is a learning curve but after a short time I adjusted and really like it. After a bicep and shoulder surgery a traditional mouse would cause serious discomfort in my wrist and arm. The vertical mouse solved this issue.

I love this mouse. I have carpel tunnel and using this mouse takes so much stress off my hand and arm. I highly recommend purchase.

That's right, this is the 'top-shelf' mouse of mice - build quality very high, works so smoothly. And the concept of the vertical mouse absolutely works - less pain and strain when using. Just be sure to buy the correct size for your hand and they take just a few minutes to get used to. Once you use, you'll never want to use a flat mouse again. Unit delivered to me slightly different looking than one shown on product page, but I like the looks of mine better because it doens't have the light gray/silver section on the back so mine looks more sleek. And as always, service was great from B&H and I received 1 day quicker than expected. Highly recommended.

My last mouse was a vertical mouse, but was finally wearing out after nearly a decade. This is a great replacement. I love the customizable buttons, and the finger grooves make for a great grip.

The new D series VerticalMouse comes in three sizes (S, M, L), and the M fits my hand well. Evoluent wins out over other vertical mice I've tried, at least in my book. The only snag is the Evoluent software got hung up on my Mac Pro running OS 14.6. After deleting the scattered bits of the app, I'm simply using the standard button functions that the Mac OS allows rather than being able to assign different functions to the many different buttons and such. (Another option is USB Overdrive, but I haven't tried it yet on this particular mouse.) Even with the software snag, the Evoluent VerticalMouse D rocks. And yes, it really does help keep your wrist healthy by keeping it in a far more natural orientation. Highly recommended.

We keyboard warriors and office drones often find many things to complain about, like lag, screens to small, not enough ram but I've nothing to complain about when it comes to this mouse other than 35 years of adjustment to the new style. I never noticed how much my wrist actually hurt after the 10-12 hours a day I put into using a mouse and then age caught up with me. And while I may never be able to play counterstrike with this mouse, because I'm old and don't want to change that part of me, the majority of my work day is using this new mouse. My arm pain and soreness has been reduced by at least 90%(does nothing for my eyes or my hunched back). It does require a bit of learning curve and yes, I do unintentionally whack it from time to time because of it's height but I would recommend this to any desktop worker and feel like this type of model should be put in all schools.

Unfortunately, according to the manufacturer's website the Evoluent VerticalMouse D is not compatible with Mac OS 10.5 and newer.

Is this mouse compatible with Mac OS 11.4?

Evoluent is currently working on drivers for MacOS versions 10.15 and newer. However currently this mouse will not be compatible with 11.4.
