RucPac Extreme Overview

Keep your hands warm and dry even in harsh conditions with these size small RucPac Extreme Tech Gloves.

When you're out in the cold, conserve heat by using the outer mitten over-layer, and then when you need to work or perform any task that requires dexterity, just fold the mitten and thumb back to expose your fingers. Magnets hold the folded-back finger and thumb covers out of the way to ensure they don't interfere with your work.

Its wind- and water-resistant mitten outer shell offers protection from the elements with insulation to keep the cold out. The palm has rubberized grips to keep your gear safe and secure in your hand with an adjustable wrist strap. You can wear the Extreme Tech Gloves by themselves, or for additional warmth and protection you can layer them over RucPac's Professional Tech Gloves.

Great gloves with a caveat

These gloves are warm down to 10-15f if there is little to no wind. The gloves are warm down to 25f if there is a stiff wind. They have great "removal straps" in the middle and ring finger of each glove that makes removal a snap. My only complaint iwith the gloves is too thumb

Very Happy!

I am so impressed with this company! I originally received these gloves as a gift and had an issue with the thumb covers not staying on. However, RucPac went above and beyond to resolve my issue and ensure I was happy with their product. The gloves are now working great and they are exactly what I needed for photographing skiers in the cold and wind.

Comfy and good to about -5C

I have huge hands and the large size fits. There is no room for a liner, but that's OK. I'm really happy this this. These are comfortable, a bit bulky and warm enough for several hours at about -5C (~22F), but that seems to be the limit. For reference I have warm hands, so your mileage may vary. The over covers are easy to flip over the fingers and thumb. I'm OK with the magnet closures, though I'm not convinced this is a better method than Velcro. Overall, these are good. It's a difficult problem to solve and these do it.

Good Gloves But

I purchased a pair of these gloves for my wife, they were size small. We both like photography so thought these would work well when we go a walks. I purchased a pair for myself, a size medium. We have been using them for about one month and enjoyed not taking off our gloves to take pictures with our cellphones or my wife has a DSLR camera. They are not perfect gloves, but better then take your gloves off and using your bare hands. My wife has always said her thumbs are getting cold and my were not. Today we noticed the medium gloves have velco on the thumbs to hold the thumb covers in place and the size small glove does not have velco. I think it might be a factory defect? Not sure.

I love mittens with flip covers so I can use my fingers for photography or birdwatching. These mittens have thumb flaps that didn't stay put. I ended up sewing them in place. I

Great for any activity where you need your fingers quickly. The only con, is that the thumb cover doesn't stay closed. Otherwise, I would have given 5 stars.

Gloves that keep my hands warm -- What a concept!

Do these gloves keep my hands AND fingers warm? No, but they come closer than any other pair I've tried. They're well insulated and keep my hands warm. My fingers still get cold, but again much better than any other gloves. A pair of Merion wool liner gloves with these make a good combination. My only complain is the flaps that cover the thumbs doesn't stay in place very well.

Great way to stay warm while shooting!

These glove kept my hands comfortably warm while shooting in cold and windy weather. I've tried all the different types of gloves but mittens are the best for keeping all your fingers warm until you need to shoot pictures, change lenses, adjust the camera, etc., and the mittens open and close easily.

Do they include the inside liner, or are the fingers exposed when flipped back?
Asked by: Syed
The RucPac Extreme Tech Gloves do not come with a liner, but may be used with one. By default, if used without a liner, your fingers will be exposed when the over-mitten is flipped back.

Question on sizing. Do they run large or small?
Asked by: Rose
These tend to run a tad bit large to account for using a liner.
