How does the video quality compare to a DSLR that uses a cam link?
Asked by: Alan
Well that is almost a question with humor. First, these are amazing cameras and I run one zoom studio with three of them feeding an ATEM MiniPro, plus I have additional hardware to handle the current draw of these 3.1 units. On the Quality, it shoots at 4K and Then reduces it to 1080. Why, because it allows you to scroll left right up down within the 4K parameter. Last part is that these are specifically for meetings in that they expect you to be within 3 - 10' feet of camera on a wide angle view. Thus, if you Zoom in you change the output resolution down to 1280. I love them, but then again I use them for their designed use: interviews where you want to scroll left/right/up/down while you are shooting live.
