Enjoy smart TV functionality and a 4K UHD on-screen image with the black LG CineBeam HU70LA HDR XPR 4K UHD DLP Home Theater Projector. It has a maximum brightness of 1500 lumens and uses XPR technology to achieve 4K UHD on-screen images. The projector features LG ThinQ for simplified web navigation and content searching. Integrated Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity provides internet access, allows you to mirror content from compatible smart devices, and provides Google Assistant support.

Two HDMI inputs provide wired connectivity for your digital high-definition devices like cable boxes or Blu-ray players. The USB ports allow you to connect compatible drives for multimedia playback, or to use a keyboard, mouse, or select other peripherals. The CineBeam HU70LA has two 3W speakers built-in, plus 1/8", optical, and Bluetooth audio outputs, allowing you to listen to your source with nearly any system.

XPR Technology Projects UHD Resolution
XPR technology combines image processing with the ability of the DMD's mirrors to shift at the microsecond level to allow each mirror to project multiple pixels per frame, creating a 4K UHD image from an otherwise non-UHD chip.
4-Channel LED Color Accuracy
With no color wheel, the HU70LA uses separate primary colors powered by LED technology to provide rich, deep color without the discoloration and rainbow effect sometimes seen in color wheel-based DLP projectors.
Remote Focus
The Remote Focus feature, along with 1.25x zoom, lets you ceiling-mount the projector while maintaining control of image size and clarity.
HDR10 with Dynamic Tone Mapping
The HU70LA uses Dynamic Tone Mapping to optimize the picture quality of each frame of HDR10 video.
TruMotion Technology
TruMotion technology is a video processing technology that generates frames of animation between existing frames, making animation look more fluid.
AI ThinQ with the Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa Built-In
With the Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa built-in, you can control your content with just your voice. You can also control your compatible smart home devices via the projector with voice commands. Control via the included Magic Remote and Bluetooth is also possible.
Zero Step Preview
This feature lets you explore and enjoy a variety of TV shows and movies over your Wi-Fi network. The onboard OS also organizes your favorite content.
Designed for Versatile Connectivity
With Miracast wireless connectivity, you can project content from your compatible mobile device. You can also connect your Bluetooth speakers or headphones, HDMI devices, USB drives, and more.

Excellent little projector that's brilliant for tabletop use

Seven years ago, we purchased a high-end Sony SXRD 4K projector, a bit ahead of the 4K/HDR curve, but have enjoyed it for many years. Recently, the light engine failed in a way that won't allow it to be converged anymore. We now have a JVC D-ILA 8K laser projector on order (c'mon supply chain!!!), but have been sorely missing viewing movies on the 100 screen. After much research, and comparing/contrasting (no pun) it to the BenQ HT3550 color wheel projector, we decided to pull the trigger on the LG CineBeam projector for two reasons: 1) no rainbow effect 2) 30,000 hour LED lamp life I am happy to report that we're DELIGHTED by this powerful, incredibly bright little projector. It sits dutifully on our coffee table, pointing 9 feet away from a 100 Screen Innovations Black Diamond 1.4 (gain) projector screen. The picture is crisper and sharper than the big Sony ever was, and the HDR effect for standard dynamic range content is pretty impressive. It's true, as other reviews have pointed out, that the blacks aren't inky black; not even close. This causes some darker HDR material to look a bit washed out, and dimming or turning off the lights really doesn't help. However, in a high-nit bright scene, the projector's light output and observed contrast is amazing. It's the kind of output that makes you squint your eyes when a scene transitions from dark to bright. In summary, we love this little projector, and plan to use it occasionally for temporary, portable use (perhaps outdoors), even after the new JVC projector comes in. Highly recommended.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this in Oct. 2020, love the crisp image and smart functionalities. We ran into an issue with the image and have sent it in for repair. Other than this minor issue almost a year later it's been great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you have YouTube TV, Hulu, HBO Max, Fubo TV, ect...don't bother because the LG content store doesn't provide those apps. The HU70LAB is not compatible with those apps. Major negative for me. The quality of picture is pretty good so I gave it 3 stars for that. Don't purchase this product if you're looking for a projector with a good app store. LG dropped the ball on this one.
