I’ve been purchasing Surefire since many years and this last one is the best i ever owned! With just one push you can cut the darkness in a football field as check a wristwatch without changing any setting. Useful, powerful and handy: Awesome flashlight!

Rugged and bright. Love the rechargeability and dual fuel option. It’s a tactical light so only one output possible - bright. Kind of flood mixed with some spot for longer throw, best of both world I think though generally I prefer long throw spots . Hope the quality is what I trust in surefire products in general. Also REALLY wish it had a clip like many of the other lights they make this one is small enough to easily carry in a pocket or clip onto belt, pack strap etc but doesn’t have anything. Not even a lanyard hole and this is why it lost a star - inconvenient to carry anywhere and I don’t want to purchase a holster somewhere it really should have something built in

A Bright Idea!

This thing is awesome. If you shine it around, it automatically adjusts its output beam so that you don't accidentally blind yourself by shining it at something close by and having its full output blasting back at you. You can see it change, very quickly, so it's not like it's some sort of advanced AI technology that adjusts faster than the eye. I'll be using this for tactical training, looking forward to it.

Reliability issues with this one...

I generally like Surefire products as they seemed to be very well made. But it looks like they are getting cheap with construction and reliability suffers as a result. On this one, the tailcap switch is poor. The spring is weak and held in place with a very thin flange of easily bent metal. The cap needed to be tightened very hard in order to get a good connection. The intellibeam part makes the light flicker a lot when it picks up darker surfaces. I think it's too sensitive and reacts too quickly to changes. And the amount of illumination it puts out at full power doesn't seem like 1500 lumens - more like the older P2 fury. And the highest output doesn't last more than a minute or so after which it gets much dimmer.
