Enter a new dimension of PC gaming with the VIVE Cosmos Elite VR Headset from HTC. This headset is your portal to experiencing virtual reality in the comfort of your home. The primary system includes the Cosmos Elite headset, two VIVE controllers, and two VIVE Base Station 1.0 sensors. These external sensors, along with SteamVR tracking built into the headset, are engineered to precisely track your every movement within VR, even when your hands are behind your head.
The headset produces a virtual reality landscape via dual 3.4" LCD panels with a combined 2880 x 1700 resolution. At this resolution, the pixels are extremely small and close together, which equates into finer graphic detail and a minimizing of the "screen-door" effect. The headset is designed to be comfortable and accommodating for all shapes and sizes. It has an adjustable head strap, an adjustable eye comfort setting, and can be worn over glasses.
You can enjoy a variety of VR experiences and games in a multitude of genres. Access content from third-party clients, such as Valve's Steam, or through HTC's own VIVEPORT Infinity library. You can also access content within VR via the VIVE Reality System, which includes VIVEPORT Video and Firefox Reality. VIVEPORT Video gives you a theater-like video experience, and Firefox Reality provides a way to browse the web in VR. Once in an application or game, the built-in on-ear stereo headphones add to the immersion with spatialized sound and 3D audio environments.

HTC Cosmos Elite VR Reviews
love it
man this changes games
Great Headset. Fast Service.
quick painless purchase. Product so far is awesome. Coming from PSVR this is amazing. Its a little heavier but after a few moments I got used to it. The flip up feature is savage, but it makes the headset feel 5x heavier which isn't a bad thing just an interesting example of how position and fulcrum affect the feel of weight. Anyhow great produce great service. Will be back in the future.
Worth it
It took me a while to decide on a VR headset. Initially I was going for a valve Index, however, that is sold out and has an 8 week (APRIL 2020) wait period. Thus I looked to the HTC. I am running the VR system off a laptop, it does work! Needs to have a mini display port but it is doable (look in the top of one of the boxes for the included adapter). This kit includes 6months of VivePort Infinity and Half-Life Alyx. The redemption was a bit tricky but it did work and gave a steam key. Other reviews on the internet has said that the controllers are dated, I did not have this same feeling. They are the older models but still are a good way to enter the VR space and have every thing be immersive. The buttons are clicky and tactile when they need to be and nice and smooth otherwise. The set-up of everything is super simple with the HTC VivePort app and SteamVR. A few updates are required but it still is less than 30min total to setup including mounts for the base stations. If you cannot find a small enough space to mount your base station (16ft or 5m apart MAX) mount then to the roof. They have no height limit besides being 2m+.
Best VR
after HTC VIVE first generation, much better displays and mounts
