Vallerret Women's Nordic Photography Gloves Overview

With these extra-small black Women's Nordic Photography Gloves from Vallerret, you can protect your hands against the cold without inhibiting their ability to operate your camera. The gloves feature a 100% Merino wool liner and Thinsulate insulation, along with a laminated, soft micro-twill and suede exterior with a durable water-repellent (DWR) coating. Their slim, form-fitting design provides maximum comfort and freedom of movement without sacrificing warmth.

FlipTech finger caps can be folded back and held with magnets to enable optimal dexterity when accessing the camera controls. Additionally, the non-slip surface on each palm allows you to maintain a firm grip on the camera. As a bonus, a convenient storage pocket on the back of the gloves will hold an SD memory card, a key, or a microfiber cloth.

When you're done shooting and you've gone back indoors, the large Jersey cuffs allow you to slip the gloves off quickly. You can slide them back on just as easily when it's time to venture out again.

Don't work with a Spider Holster Grip

These gloves just aren't that warm for the price...especially when you have to take them all the way off to get your hand into a Spider Holster grip. These didn't work for me.

Great photography gloves. Love the finger openings and the reason I was looking for gloves like these. The grip material on the palm side of the gloves work great at feeling like your camera won’t slip. Gloves are warm and they fit great. The only issue I had was the right index finger opening was a little tight and I have long slim fingers. I plan on adjusting it myself to make the opening a bit bigger to resolve this. Overall, they are the gloves I was looking for.

Wore these on a photo hike when the weather was clear but cold, between 45 and 50 degrees. The gloves kept my hands warm, and the fingertips stayed fastened back by the magnets making operating my camera sooo easy. The tips return to their original position easily as well. Don't know how they will be in freezing weather, but the day I used them I was very warm and happy with the gloves.

measured my hand per instructions gloves were too tight, finger slit too small it cut off circulation when exposing finger. Will be returning due to time constraints had to order mens glove and pay a premium to have for our winter trip.

I used Vallerret’s fitting chart and initially purchased the medium size. They were too small and it cost me another $30 to post them back to exchange for the large. The magnets are not strong enough to hold the finger tips back and the stitching over the thumb is not smooth.

Great Glove, Irritating Cuff

It's a beautiful, well-made glove but the cuff is made from a synthetic material with a texture that I found very irritating to my wrist, also, the way the cuff is stitched to the glove, there is a raw and rough seam that rubs against the wrist that gave me an itchy rash. I was going to return them but I spent some time designing a polar fleece inner cuff that works very well to provide my wrist with soft cozy material and it covers up the rough seam. Luckily I've had many years of sewing experience so it wasn't hard to do, but I should not have had to do this for an $80 pair of gloves. Great gloves, but they dropped the ball on the cuff, both the material and method of attachment.

I was in the Arctic and had a lot of water spray on my hands, and they kept it out. I didn't try submersing them, but was very pleased with this. For super cold conditions ( temps about 0), something warmer would be needed.

I used the gloves in Wyoming in Jan at temps ranging from 6-28 degrees. Hands still got cold (especially the fingertips that uncover) but they did give me the ability to operate the camera without completely freezing the rest of my hand. It helps to put in a hot pack.

The hand girth measurement for the Extra-Small Vallerret Women's Nordic Photography Gloves 6.3 – 6.9 inches (16 – 17.5 cm), and the hand length measurement is 6.1 – 6.5 inches (15.5 – 16.5 cm). The EU size equivalent is EU 6. According to the sizing chart, it states the girth of the hand is measured by measuring around the widest part of your hand with a relaxed open palm. The hand length is measured from the base of the hand to the tip of the middle finger.
