Vallerret Urbex Reviews
Nice, form-fitting gloves
The only improvement would be to add additional insulation to the flip-back fingertips. Nice soft leather!
Overall not bad
They are new so seem a little too stiff but that could change, Would like the pull back and snap a little further down to allow easier finger placement on the camera button settings
Medium warmth photo gloves that look good too
These gloves are just what I needed - something that is fairly warm but not too bulky and lets me free my fingers when I need fine control of the camera or need to use the touch screen. And the rest of the time they look like nice leather gloves that happen to be very comfortable.
Very good glove
These gloves fit the bill. Keep in mind they are gloves and not mittens. The fit is snug, but good, and enough room to curl my fingers into the inside of the palms for a quick warmup. One wish is that the finger tip which folds back would be to the second joint of the finger rather than just the first joint. I was out in temperatures in the teens this morning and lasted three hours with warm fingers.
TOO LARGE
Hello, I just receive this product and it's a good product but I choose a too large size. Is it possible to change to the M size? And if it's possible, can you tell me the deadline to receive the new one after I send you the product? Thank you for your return.
Goldilocks gloves for those with warm hands
I have warm hands. Nevertheless, I still prefer to wear a glove when temps are below 30F (-1c) as handling cold metal and carbon camera gear for a long time irritates my mild joint pain in my hands. I have been wearing a pair of shooting gloves in warmer temps, switching over to a pair of ski mittens with a finger tip flap for colder. Of course, neither were great for the in between temps, or when there was wind or rain/snow. Plus neither pair had a conductive pad for device use. Enter the Urbex! I used them all last week shooting at Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge, in temps from 20F to 40F with winds and rain a few mornings and never once did I feel I needed more glove in the cold or get too hot as the temps crept up. The merino liners were soft and woolly but did not make my fingers feel like they were in sausage skins. The leather shell was flexible and grippy yet didn't feel flimsy. And the capacitive pads rocked. I was able navigate menus on my DSLR with ease. My only complaint would be the fit. I usually wear a XX-Large in gloves, but this model doesn't come in that size. Other Vallerret gloves do. (Or maybe B and H just doesn't stock the XXL) The knuckles are a bit tight when I flex my fingers into a fist, but in general use it is not too restrictive. I still would prefer the XXL. Great gloves are hard to find. Especially when you are looking for the 'middle' ground or the 'Goldilocks' point. For me, these are right on point.
Functional and Comfortable
I'm a smaller fella, so I tend to have a hard time finding winter gloves that are both comfortable and functional. These do the trick! I find them flexible enough to use my gear without issue, yet still weatherproof enough to keep me snapping pics in the blustery winter weather we've had lately. The magnetic clips on the index fingers and thumbs are not nearly as strong as I might like, but they get the job done. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase. I expect to make use of these gloves for a long time to come.
Good but not Great
These are not the warm gloves I expected. I bought these for winter time photography in Chicago. I have used them a few times in cold weather, and while they are better than nothing, they just aren't that warm. The removable finger tips help when using camera compared to conventional gloves, but after an hour or so, my hands were cold and I am not one to be plagued by cold hands. I only wear gloves when the temps are less than 25-30 deg. These gloves helped, but they just aren't that warm.
