The Aluminum Side Handle from SmallRig provides a secure grip for your NATO rail-equipped camera or camera cage. This aluminum handle can be configured for right- or left-side use and slides up and down for optimal positioning. The top of the handle features three 1/4"-20 threads and one cold shoe mount for adding a light, microphone, monitor, mounting arm, or other accessory.

The SmallRig Aluminum Side Handle with NATO Clamp uses a NATO clamp for mounting, so if the L bracket has a NATO rail then yes, the SmallRig Aluminum Side Handle with NATO Clamp will be able to be mounted to it.

Can you run a camera strap on the side of it?
Can you run a camera strap on the side of it?
It is possible run a strap directly to either side depending on the width of the strap; however, without a D ring or anchor of some kind the strap wouldn't be able to swivel forwards or backwards easily. I use a strap that has detachable, non-metallic anchors that easily attach to the side handle and provide plenty of movement in any direction. I recommend non-metallic anchors if you're capturing audio.
