HDMI Output Works Great

I recently bought 10 of these units so I can record all 10 channels we, a TV station, broadcast. Within 3 days one of them died. Well at the price they are I didn't think much about it. I bought 3 more to have a couple of spares. These units do work great and are easy to set up but only the HDMI output works good. The video / audio outputs do not work. I've included a snapshot from one of our channels but they all look the same. It is an okay unit as long as you don't want to use video and audio outputs. Even though they didn't do what we want don't let my reveiw stop you from buying it if you plan on using the HDMI output. It's still a good box for HDMI to a TV set.

Just what I was looking for after cutting the cord, able to get all my local channels on older tv in my garage.

Perfect for simple OTA reception

One unit was dead-on-arrival, but B&H's service is absolutely top-notch. The replacment unit arrived fast and works great. It is easy to set up and use. On initial bootup, channel scanning and identification took just a few minutes. I am using the HDMI out to route the signal to an integrated receiver, and both picture and sound are clear. I have not yet used advanced features, but if your primary goal is receiving OTA signals, operation could hardly be simpler.

This little box works well with my receiver and LG TV. Took a little time to figure out how the two units talk to one another, but I hooked it up with an Antenna and then an HDMI to the TV.

Good product for simple DVR function

This is a very simplistic DVR device. I have not yet mastered all of the options yet, but it seems to do what I need. I did have trouble scheduling a weekly recording. The software said that the program overlapped another program, when it was clear to me that it did not: Different days and times. The remote has labels that do not always indicate what the button does... it is not intuitive. It is very basic, but since I have not had a DVR since I cut the cord over 8 years ago, this does what I need it to do at a decent price.

required an extra antenna

The box itself didn't pick up any channels I had to plug in an extra antenna to get it to work.

Good choice

Given ATSC 3.0 next gen is coming out soon, I needed a converter box for a tv that didn't have a internal tuner. This receiver does well for the price and hopefully it will last till the new digital converter boxes are neccessary.
