Very well written. Great help to learning only the second serious digital camera I've owned in the 50 years of doing recreational photography.

This is a very well written book. Very valuable to Nikon owners of DSLRS and especially D850 owners.

I didn't hesitate buying Darrell Young's Mastering the Nikon D850 when I acquired the D850. And I'm glad I got it. I had previously purchased and read his Mastering the Nikon D750 and while there are lots of similarities between the two cameras, the D850 is like the D750 on steroids. Very high quality and more capable and complex than the D750. While the Nikon D850 manual can be very helpful, Darrell Young describes each of the features and programs in the D850 more thoroughly than the manual, and it seems to me, with better organization of what you need to know. Also, he almost always finishes a discussion of a feature by telling you how he uses the feature and why. He does this without being pushy or insensitive as to why someone else might view the use of the feature differently.

The headline says it all. I bought a version of this book when I first bought a Nikon D750. Later, I purchased a D500 and the version of this book for it. This is my third version of this book, so that is how much I think of this author. Would not be without it!

An excellent book. The author referencing back to the camera user's manual is a nice added feature. Will take me quite a while to absorb all this information.

it was excellent.
