LG HF65LA Overview

Enjoy smart-TV functionality on the big screen with the LG HF65LA XPR Full HD DLP Home Theater Short-Throw Projector. It has a maximum brightness of 1000 lumens and can achieve a 100" image with the rear of the projector just 15" from your screen or wall thanks to its short-throw design. The projector uses XPR processing technology to create Full HD (1920 x 1080) images on your screen or wall. Integrated Ethernet connectivity provides internet access and allows you to mirror content from compatible smart devices.

Two HDMI inputs provide wired connectivity for your digital high-definition devices like cable boxes or Blu-ray players. The two USB ports allow you to connect compatible drives for multimedia playback or to use a keyboard, mouse, or select other peripherals. The HF65LA has two 3W speakers built-in, plus wired digital, analog, and wireless Bluetooth audio output, allowing you to listen to your source with nearly any system. The built-in tuner and RF connection enables you to watch broadcast TV without a cable box.

My First Ever Projector

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I did not really know what to expect from this projector since I can admit I am far from an expert . I always wanted a theater system and figured I would try this one strictly for the 30000 hours of bulb life and I didn’t have to mount it across the room . To tell the truth ,, the picture is amazing ! Works well with fire stick and Nintendo switch . A draw back is the sound but I’m getting a surround system for that . And it has limited 2 hdmi jacks and I have 3 game systems ,, but OVERALL!! THE PICTURE QUALITY IS UNBELIEVABLE!! Does okay with somewhat rooms with sunlight but in a darkened room it feels like you are in a theater .

Major input lag when gaming

If you're looking to use this for gaming, the unit has serious input lag. There's a gaming mode available, but that disables bluetooth! My unit is also projecting some weird curvature on the bottom of the display. I'd say this would be worth the price at $800, no more.

HF65LA Doesn't Work with Netflix or Amazon

I just bought this an mistakenly assumed that with the LG Store and Web Browser that it work with 2 of the biggest content providers - Netflix and Amazon. It doesn't and so far I am unable to get an answer (from the LG site) if there are any updates coming for the Browser or LG Store to resolve this or if it will be resolved.

Great image Quality. Poor infotainment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The image quality is great, you´ll never complain about it. Better if the room has no light sources. The bluethootch connectivity is a plus, because the speaker is not the best, so you´ll for sure need a speaker. The problem I found is that you can´t use Netflix or Prime Video App. They are not included nor available to download from the LG App store. I ended up buying a Chromecast to see my series.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have no problem with the unit's performance...works fine. What would be nice is a recommendation for a good screen to show it on. Also, a micro adjustable table (all angle) to place the unit on to ease alignment issues. We do it by hand and that works, but a proper platform would be better.
