Novoflex EOSR/NIK Reviews

Was skeptical after reading some of these reviews....

But after using it, I absolutely love it! I'm using this on my Komodo so I can use my Nikkor kit with my Komodo. There is no give with this converter. It is solid! The give I experienced actually comes from my Komodo's RF mount (which was a poor design choice by RED imo). I also really like the lens release on this. It's really pronounced and makes swapping easy, especially if you're in a dimly lit situation. Finally, the added blue step-less aperture adjustment ring is smooth and has the right amount of play that's not too loose and not too tight for smooth adjustments. Only downside is I don't know what my iris is at on my G-type Nikkor lenses, but that's to be expected. Yes, this is the most expensive than some of the other converters, but I think it's worth it. I'm always blown away by the people who will only spend $40 on an adaptor and support a lens that costs 10x-100x more on a body that costs 100x more than the adaptor and then complain about it sucking or breaking their lens. None of that here!

Build quality is good but.....

First I have to state this product is way over priced. It’s not electronic engineered to justify the price . But it works on eos r. Make sure to set up the feature to be able to use the camera with no lens attached. Also note focusing peaking or focus assist doesn’t work. Even if you turn it on in menu on the camera. would’ve been great if the camera could with the adapter attached.

Not that I know of. It is not an electronic interface, hence why you can only use lenses with the pin to adjust the iris.

do you attach it permanent to the camera or to the lens?
Asked by: michael
This is not a permanent item, it can be attached or removed as often as you like. If you are only using the lens with the adapter, you can leave it on the lens and use it when the need arises.
