Do I need anything else? It looks like I need to hook the cable list. I plan to hook a Cinema Led 24 monitor ( 2005 model) to a new MacBook Pro 2020. Besides, the cable recommends " https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1490190-REG/ezquest_x40017_usb_c_to_hdmi_4k.html" Would I need anything else to hook make it work? Like a multiport adapter?

You would need to get the mini display port to usb -c adapter and then you would be fine.
