The short Quick Set Shelf for R2RT from MultiCart is designed to install quickly between both cart handles, converting the cart into a mobile workstation. As a result, this mobile workstation is used in sound or video production, as well as in photo applications in studio or on location. The installed shelf, which has a load capacity of 100 lb, is supported by steel tubes.

The first shelf I received had to be sent back because the mounting holes were drilled about 1/2 off and the shelf couldn't be assembled properly. B&H was fantastic about setting up a replacement, however the replacement had a similar issue (only this time, the mounting holes were just close enough for me to force the bolts through). The QC issues are disappointing, especially because the concept of turning a cheap roller into a super-portable production cart is great. Props to Rock-n-Roller for also putting openings into the handle accessories to allow you to use them simultaneously. For example, I have the stand bag attachment that slips over the handle to carry light stands, and it has cutouts exactly where the shelf mounting hardware bolts onto the handle. The same is true of the pocket sleeve accessory. Once mounted, the shelf helps the whole cart feel more stable and is a great place to set camera bags/laptops/assemble a camera/etc. It's just a shame that the quality tolerances aren't tighter.
This is a great little cart
Very surprised this works so well. It's easy to port around and simple enough to use. If you're looking for something portable that helps keep your gear off the ground this is a great addition to the R2RT system.
