It came without any instructions at all. And I can't get the rod into the base plate.

For the money,this is an ok  product to try  out .

It's not awful ,but, in my case the screw for mounting was not even present,while also adjusting the camera position does not feel 'confident'. I'm returning mine .It does at least give one the basic idea of how they work, for not much money .I ended up getting a LAING P4.

This is a very good value for the money. Well made and very rugged.  A minor issue is that it does not come with any assembly instructions or camera balancing instructions. I recommend looking at some on-line videos on balancing stabilizers. For a first time user of stabilizers the balancing process is not intuitive. Once properly balanced for a specific camera it works very well.

This is my first stabilizer so I don’t have much by the way of comparisons but it was better quality than I was expecting at its price point compared to others I’ve seen.

This glide cam performs as well or better than my old Glidecam HD 2000 and better than a $300 competitor product I am now returning. I am using this with my Canon 5d Mk3 and it balances perfectly. Proper setup is key, make sure you balance with the least weight you can get on the bottom and have a 2 second drop.
