A simple, yet powerfully effective tool for podcasting and content creation, the Blue Microphones Yeticaster is a USB microphone bundle offering a broadcast-quality sound, a rugged design, and multiple recording modes to suit your needs. The mic included in this package, offered here in a blackout finish, has become a go-to for people who record podcasts or who stream on YouTube, Twitch, Facebook Live, and other similar platforms.
The Yeticaster includes the Yeti, but foregoes the desktop stand, instead providing a rugged COMPASS boom arm that clamps to your desk as well as a Radial III shockmount. These hardware accessories eliminate handling noise, facilitate smooth and silent adjustments of mic positioning during recording, and improve the look of your environment; if your content has any visual component, viewers will instantly recognize the professional look that a desk-affixing boom arm and a vintage-style shockmount provide.

Blue Yeti Reviews
Great quality sound for music
I bought this to upgrade the sound quality for my online piano lessons. I had been using just the mic on the Logitech C920 camera. The voice and music quality is excellent, much better than the camera mic.
very high quality
Works as advertised. The software is ok.
Good for podcasting
Use it for podcasting, works well. Good sound quality and seems like a strong value player.
Eh
I thought the sound would be more on the lines of professional radio. I don't like the sounds that it gives. Looks good.
Excellent mic for the money
Sounds great, perfect for direct USB sound recording. The multiple pickup patterns make it the perfect all multi-purpose mic.
The Best!
One of the best microphones you can buy!
Great Product
I'm not an expert on microphones or sound systems. From a layman's standpoint, this microphone catches sounds clearly. It's also pleasantly heavy and sturdy. A solid product!
Audio quality OK, but broke after less than a year
No issues with audio quality for this microphone, but it broke after less than a year due to flimsy, poorly designed connector. It's kind of my own fault--I accidentally bumped it off a desk. However, the microphone and stand are very heavily weighted (perhaps to give the illusion of quality), and this microphone uses an extremely old USB connector type that is prone to stress failures. One little jerk of the cord was all it took to bend/snap the fragile connector pins in the body of the microphone. Game over. After doing some research online I discovered, too late, that damage to this port is so common that there are many forum threads about it, and even shops that replace this specific port on this specific microphone -- for nearly the cost of a new one, of course. On most forums, they'll just recommend that you purchase a better-designed microphone. Very disappointed that such an expensive microphone uses such old, flimsy technology. If you have already purchased this unit, recommend adding additional reinforcement to the port. If you haven't, save your money for something that's actually sturdy instead of something that just looks sturdy.
